I'm taking microbiology 1 and 2, organic chem 1 and 2, biochem 1 and 2, toxicology, genetics 3 and year 1 physics xD

What's the GPA out of in the states again? In Canada it's out of 4.5

Just before my first year ended, I declared a Physics Major. I love Physics so much. I was so happy that a recent lenny conundrum was a horizontal projectile motion question (the one with kooiths). I'm planning to be a doctor and I'm going to Physics as my pre-med. How about you?

Neat. I did Physics and on my way to Aerospace Engineering.

Thinking about switching to Biomedical/Architectural Engineering though. Curious as to why you chose Physics as pre-med, that's not one of the most popular ones I believe.

Sumini- Pick the course that you REALLY enjoy pursing for the rest of your life. Who knows? It may be a subject you never ever consider. I originally thought to be a bio major, but then I hated memorizing parts of biology that stray away from the human body anatomy. That's why I pick Physics.

Ellusive- what kins of subjects are you interested in then? :o

Thanks for the welcome, Milady

Cellophane- I looked Dissertion-Chan up... fun stuff over there. The reason why I prompted to be in the medical field is because basically I'm secretly competing against 4 other people of my high school. We all promised that we will all be doctors one day in the medical field and in our first high school reunion, we will see each other and brag about it. Well... that's not the /real/ why I want to become a doctor, but it's one of the biggest motivating factors.

Hey, I did warn about it. Though if you're a doctor, I'm guessing you can't be too squeamish. One of my friends said she was working on cadavars in her first year.

That's certainly a pretty original reason!

Boggart- it's out 4.0

Bryan- Indeed it's not one of the most popular, but I'm doing it because I enjoy it and it's better for me to take a major and do well in it. Plus I also enjoy math (call me weird, I don't care). The only way I can minor or double major with math (if I have time) is to take physics. The one of bigger reasons why I'm taking the path I'm taking right now is because I'd rather do well in the subjects I enjoy than to fail miserably at the subjects I hate. It's about showing what you got in the most academic way.

Haha, WhiteRabbit. I don't mind a PM about physics once in a while XD If it's anything that's solid like kinetics, electromagnetism, and classical string theory, then I'll be happy to help.

In all honesty, there wasn't much math for me in Physics. Certainly you use fundamental calculus, but the majority of my courses were either theory based or lab/computer based. I've always been into math as well, and after finishing Calc 3 and Diff EQ, was upset there wasn't much in the area of furthering myself unless I was taking Mathematics specific 300/400 electives.

That's a bit of a downer, but I already accepted that fact. I'm already happy that I used as much as I liked into the basic Physics clases. The other reason why I chose math as a minor is because I can't minor into a different school division. Thanks for telling me about my future classes, Bryan.

Hey everyone! The name's KelVee (which are basically the first three letters of my first and middle name). My first and only account was frozen YEARS ago around the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot when I thought I would quit neopets for good (I fail at quitting ;_;). Anyways, it's time to play again during the summer downtime. I'm 19 years old and just finished my first year of college. I like to eat both real fruit and artifically flavored ones. It's nice to meet everyone one of you. :D

Welcome!

I'll admit I'm impressed by the major, I only took physics a few years ago in high school but it was sorta over my head.
I'm much better at Anatomy & Physiology and that kind of science. I'm hoping Pharmacology doesn't end up being a killer this semester xD

waah physics, the furthest i went in that subject was prisms i think. rainbow colours, how light is reflected, that kind of things. i'm not even sure this even qualifies as physics.
i stopped taking science subjects in my second year of highschool so i could major in philosophy and literature, but they still made us take tiny little classes like pseudo-chemistry where we had to learn how to make mayo or whipped cream. and i swear they called it chemistry, not cooking or home economics rofl.
