"Which is better: Cats or Dogs?"
I don't see where it says cute.
Cats may, or not, be cuter, but dogs are simply better.

Dogs require a lot more work in order to be maintained. Not only are their vet bills more expensive, so is everything else that you must buy for a dog. Not to mention that often have many more medical problems than cats because they are so frequently inbreed. They also bark. They are able to bark for hours.
Furthermore, if a cat scratches you; it's no big deal. If a dog decides he's not in a good mood and bites you, you could very well be on your way to the ER for stitches.
Dogs are also used in dog fighting, which is a breeding place for gambling, drugs and violence.

A tea-cup chihuahua looks like a horribly man-altered mutant.

Thanks! That's my kitten Zephyr. He's almost 5 months old now, but he's still adorable. He's the most friendly and tolerant cat I've ever met.
My other cat, Rosie, is about 6 or 7 years old, very petite (the two cats are about the same size now), and incredibly sassy. She's an indoor-outdoor cat, so she likes her independence and does not care for Zephyr, to say the least.
