I think jails are kind of more just because say a 40 year old guy killed a 20 year old. That 20 year old had so much more life stolen from him compared to the 40 year old that was sentenced to death.

I dont even like when people put their kids on leashes. Yesterday at the mall a man and his wife had their kid on a leash. I screamed "take your kid off the leash douche" . He in turn yelled something and walked off.

Cant remember who already mentioned it but it sparked off a though i had earlier on in the day, I went to the cinema the other day and watched The Expendables....there's plenty of scenes of gore, brutality, people being shot in the head, people being ripped in half etc etc. And is rated 15!!!! I mean wtf??? When i was a 15 year old girl that prolly would have given me nightmares, and 20 - 30 years ago if a film had a bum shot in it it was like rated 15....People are completely desensitized to human killing/mutilation and its ridiculous.

Someone i know, goes on a site, i wont mention the sites name, but it is real footage or photos of dead bodies and or the death itself, shootings, be-headings etc. I honestly don't know how he can look at that shit.

I know films aren't real, but there so realistic now and i just think its gotten out of hand when kids, even kids under 15, have access to this type of thing, no wonder people don't flinch when something terrible happens.

Georgina, you got it right..I mean as a society we have been desenzitized toward our own species killing by seeing it so much in movies,tv,music that it hardly affects us, but it should. I agree, but we can't blame it all on those types of media, I think the news outlets are to blame also. Day in and out we see horrible shit and yet no one says shit. We all just try to live our lives and that's it. I mean this superhero crap is just a fantasy, what if people in that city or the world were just do their part and help create a better society...For me...and I know Hydrogen hears it alot, due to the area we live in, but humans killing humans happen everyday.

In Oakland, we hear kids being shot, just recently a 13 yr old kid, an honor student and track student was gunned down, in a city that ranks as nearly the worst with over 80% of its murders, being unsolved, yet no public outcry is heard..But when BART police shoots a guy its a major meltdown...Shoot even another guy shot a Police Officer the other day and boom...Another Crisis..Yet the people who live day in and day out are hardly crying foul..

I love animals, shoot I try to help out, in my home country, I wasn't born there but my parents were, of India, Tiger poaching is horrible...Tigers are being killed left and right and I have done shit about it but it still doesnt match to the day in and out killings of humans by other humans.

I know Rotten is a horrible website, but yet hundreds of thousands view it for the pictures...I am just fed up with this system and this epic bullshit by the media, by the people...

PETA cries foul when Obama swats a fly...Come on..When people are being killed and no one says shit, we as a society and a country must look and deem what priorities we hold first...

Any sane person would be in depression over this shit, no one honestly cares about people dying, but when people abuse animals its horrible, yet we often kill these animals for consumption.

I am a meat lover and always will be but this shit is getting out of hand..

At least the forum members here know what should be in our hearts first..

Fuck humans. There's plenty more where they came from. You don't get upset or angry at people getting killed because you don't know them. You don't have an affiliation and to you, they are just a number. Basic human response.

You automatically think of animals as cute and friendly, your best mate, the guys and girls who'll always be beside you when it goes tits up. And you irrationally think that the person kicking a puppy in the throat is doing it your animal. It's an act of brutality. When humans die, you usually believe there's a rational reason behind it, or because you know, it's raining a bit too much.

This reminds me of the infamous high-heel v.s kitten video which I've never once been able to watch, but which I've seen screen shots of. For the love of all things holy, do NOT watch that video. It'll make you cry yourself to sleep.

Also, the argument that human life isn't taken into as much consideration as animals is bull. Imagine if that lady was throwing babies off the bridge. Shit would be a lot more intense. Also, if you abuse an animal it's pretty much a slap on the wrist, while if you abuse your children say hello to prison.

you see the reaction. animal abuse usually get overwhelming response. human abuse are like more commoned and less cared.

I did hear though the chick is a 12 year old, therefore she is a minor and cannot really be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for it. She did get fined though I heard. I also heard the puppies lived and a woman found them. Only one died.

ANYWAY IT IS SICKENING. I feel that people who can just hurt an animal like that can easily harm a human if they wanted to.
