Random but the spelling of "Artefact" REALLY annoys me.

Thank you, that really helped me.
At least by now it looks like this plot will be more elaborated than the previus AOTA.

Idiot question but do you have to collect all the glowing artifacts AND the books to receive the books in your inventory?

The only way you can complete the mission is by getting all the artefacts. So if you want the 3 books, you gotta get the artefacts as well.

I would say go for the achievement, since it gives you points (hopefully) to actually buy good shit

just buy the books or go on a side if you really want the books (or replay once you get the achievement?)

Yeah I've got the achievements done, just haven't gotten the books successfully. I disagree that her zap can only travel 3 spaces because I had her zap me one when I was 6 spaces away o.O

I would also say go for the bonus items, since most of the time they will count towards your plot score, so better prizes at the end.

Thanks for the guide, got everything bar one of the books but don't have the patience to play again! I'll just have to buy the missing one.

This was what I was thinking. I never took the chance to go face to face with the hag

Thanks for the guide! I kept dying because I was getting impatient with the clicking, and I always thought "Nah she won't shoot me this time."

As a general rule, just don't stand in a straight line form her. This can always be avoided unless you're trapped between two bookshelves and a pile of rubble

I played around 5 times to get all the achievements and books and stuff, and I never had any problems with Xandra. She always missed me with her laser. As long as you move diagonally most of the time, you should be fine, I think.
Anyway, thanks for the guide :)
