Seeing as how once you get the avatar you can turn them right around and sell them again, I don't see them being a good investment.

That being said, I'm going to hold on my 51 Apple Onion Rings now and see what happens to the price.

A 1np inflation on a 10np item that you bought ten thousand of, is the same as a 10k increase in a 100k item you bought one of.

Anything can be a good investment if you buy and sell at the right time, and in the right quantities.

is it proven that a high rarity item will attract the pant devil?
I mean i thought the risk of pant devil attack should be the same regardless and
i only get visited by the pant devil like once a month or when i get a rod of supernova from the advent calendar.

The avatar comes when he steals an item of higher rarity. Also, I believe it's true that the more items you carry, the greater the chance he'll appear.

That's not correct.
The avatar has nothing to do with an actual Pant Devil event.

have you tried reading?
the avatar isn't gotten by getting a specific item. It's the total worth of all your inventory items.
If you actually read the thread starter's post - he tells you a way you can do it for cheap.

They spiked a lot over the last week. I bought the underpriced ones when they were at 400-500, so a lot of people must be buying them.
