Prices haven't spiked like they have for a lot of the items... or maybe I'm just picking dead-end ones now that were good a year ago -_-

Wrong. I simply stated they were the favored team. They were the team to beat all season long. Everyone was talking about the Heat and their expectations. They aren't invincible, they aren't unbeatable, they're simply the host team to a 3x NBA MVP in James for 3 of the past 4 years and Wade whose accomplishments can't be overlooked either. Not to mention the supporting cast. There is a big reason why if the Heat fail to win a championship this year, the entire team's players' jobs are in jeopardy, except Lebron's for obvious reasons. This is because they are supposed to win. No one thought it even possible that they could fail to take a championship. They aren't unbeatable . They aren't invincible. They're just expected to win. They're favored. That is why I want them to lose.

Your logic just makes no sense.

First, you established that you like the unbeatable, favored teams to lose. Then you associate this with the premise that the Heat are an "unbeatable, favored" team. News flash, they were 2nd seed in the East coming into the playoffs and virtually every sports analyst out there wrote in the 2nd half of the season that they clearly were not invincible.

Then on a less implied yet still pretty obvious scale to anyone with a brain, you said that you "want the talented team to lose" to make it dramatic or exciting. Thunder entered the playoffs at 2nd seed in the West, with an even better overall record than the East. If any, you should be seeing the Thunder as better rather than whatever the media feeds your brain with (The Invincible Big 3 of Lebron, Wade and Bosh). At the very least you should see the Thunder and Heat equally matched.

Why do you think all the writers are saying this is gonna shape up to be a great Finals?

Just no, no, no. Everything you said was predicated on completely misconstrued premises.

NOTE: Just in case anyone says I'm reposting, I just thought it was stupid to defend myself further when all the above poster did was argue my use on the adjective of "unbeatable". Everything else still pretty much stands. So I just scratched out that part :)

As far as teams who were talked about winning the entire thing when the playoffs began? They weren't far ahead of Philly. Until they had proven themselves more, they were already written off for the most part. I would say it didn't change much until they came back after falling behind to the Spurs.

I just would rather see the unexpected happen. If the teams who were better and more popular and more talented won in almost every case, it wouldn't make for much drama or excitement. I'd rather the Patriots get upset in the Superbowl than become the first NFL team to go undefeated in a 16-game regular season with an all-star team that simply destroys every team it faces. I'd rather the Yankees end up losing the world series after going ahead 3-0 and breaking Boston's curse than the Redsox simply losing as they apparently were "meant to". That's just the sort of thing I root for. As far as the Heat and Thunder, I think that at the beginning of these playoffs the Heat were more a favorite than the Thunder, by far. The Heat have been seen as a superior team to most for the past two years. I want them to lose. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing against Lebron. The guy is an animal. I'm not saying he's bad or anything, in fact I'm saying quite the opposite. I want him to lose because he's incredible, and everyone (who has a brain) knows it. The same goes for Wade, he plays a big part. And I suppose Bosh can't be overlooked; he comes through for them big occassionally.

Thunder aren't underdogs.
