we do have a very good GFX section of the forum. Its best to make these types of request in there as you will get lots of people who do GFX to look at it.

You probably thought of this but it's worth mentioning just in case: some DLLs get locked and Task Manager can't help, so if you didn't reboot during the whole process, do that.

Another thing to try if this wasn't already part of your uninstall process: uninstall, then to go your Documents and Settings directory in the root of your disk, then go into the directory that matches your username. There's 2 hidden directories there, Application Data and Local Settings. They both contain an Opera directory, delete those Opera directories and try again. Make sure the operadef6.ini file is gone too.

If that does no good, do another install, edit operadef6.ini, and change the setting "Multi User=1" to 0.
