Your friend, who got caught talking to another man online... Dan, might you be the interloper?

Lol I cannot not say it wasn't me but I know for a fact he was out of the picture for a year. The only kind of contact they had were a storage unit which he has since refused to give back the contents of.

If they have proof that the belongings in the Unit aren't his then no, he can't sell them. Also if there is proof, why doesn't she just go get all the stuff and store it elsewhere?

He she spoken to the police previously about the harassment hes been giving her?

She has actually filed a report to the police. He hasn't been bothering her since then. As far as the unit goes the man has changed the combination to go past the gate, and the lock.

Is this the same thing?

Indeed. It is :) The ring will go back as of now. But he is still filing for the other items. The cat that she has raised since day 1, 3 beds, chairs, cutting board, a bookshelf, a VHS OF FREAKING RUSH HOUR, coffee table, and about 2500 for legal fees.

Conditional gifts can be taken back legally (ex. engagement rings). Your friend can keep the rest of the items (provided there is proof they were gifts) unless she  wants a Battle Royale on her hands or a clusterfuck at small claims.

Yep we agreed to let the dirty mole to just get the gifted ring back. We are now in the talks of wondering if we can countersue, and hit him back for stealing a pair earrings, and a a legit hank ketcham drawing that was made just for her, and legal fees back.

The ring was worth $10,000... so that means the cat is worth $4,000?

Holy fuck just give the goddamn ring back. This shit has been going on for months. Or whatever. Go to court. I suppose you should get lawyers involved when two parties are so blind with greed. You'd rather lose your kids' beds than give the fucking ring back? You should be ashamed of yourself. How much could a ring given to you by a total dickwad even mean? *spits on the ground in disgust*

Am I the only one who just about died laughing when it was revealed as a Hanukkah gift?

The ring as of now if being given back. BUT the issue is he is following through with getting the girls beds, Wii, and a couple gameboys. So maybe I should fix what I wrote or read better.

Is it even legal that he could auction off your stuff without your permission?

I'm not so sure. If my items are in HIS unit that he pays for It might be legal? He just hasn't given me the chance to remove the items.
