In Topic: Will the game be playable if...

Okay so I wanted to try the new Witcher 3 game on PC but all I have is a laptop right now. Minimum requirements for the game is:

Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz
AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660
AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
DirectX 11
HDD Space 40 GB

I myself got:

Intel Core i7-4510U @ 2.00GHz, 4 at `2.6GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 840M
OS 64-bit Windows 8.1
DirectX 11

Yeah so the big question is, will the game with my current requirements play ? Will it play smoothly, 30FPS or 60FPS ?

My laptop weren't made for gaming anyways thought I want to try some of the games that will play without much lag.

I'm guessing GPU pays a vital part in this so did some research, but it didn't help much :p I'm such a noob on this matter.

The i7 in your laptop is equiv to a top end i3 / low end i5....   and 4GB of ram just won't cut it...

It will run,  but like shit   -   I tried is on my MSI G60   ( similar specs to your's but with 8 GB ram)  and it did not like it at all.

Scart is Analog,  HDMI is digital...  Thus,  more reliable which allows for far higher fidelity / bandwidth etc etc.

I recently read an article that said Linux is fairly easy to learn, one called Tails, so I'm currently downloading that...never tried anything but Windows, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

The ONLY reason to use Tails is to hide what you are doing...   If you want to try Linux,   get   Ubuntu  (newest version with the GUI).. It looks and behaves almost exactly like Windows -  Just lighter and open source.

I will second Valorous that tails is most certainly NOT a DE....   Google Tor,  Darknet and what people use Tails for ;).

Chrome all the way -  I wasn't sure people actually used anything other than FF / Chrome
