Ya o3o i went through the paddock on the last petpet too. Had to drop it and re-pick it up again.

I think I figured it out. When you walk with your hands up like carrying a petpet you need to attempt to drop it (a lot) or find a single petpet that's kind of the 'trigger' to make them all walk around normally again.
