I know this is a strategy some people employ, but I am not sure how exactly this is done effectively and to what end. I apologise in advance if this topic has been covered recently, but I didnt see anything after some brief searching.

Generally, so you only buy out a few items or a row of a shop (say if it is fully stocked at 24 items)? Or do you buy out the entire shop (or leave behind only the expensive items? Does a shop with 0 items have any greater chances of restocking than a shop already stocked at 6? 12? 18?

I am assuming noone knows for certain, but is there a 'generally accepted as true' line of thinking on this matter?
