I stopped playing partly due to this. What was that tumblr that was just people yelling and calling out others? There was like a main one. Drama rising, I think.

Also, I got bored. The events were always the same, you knew what was coming and how to participate.

Ah, yes. Dramarising. I see they've actually got an official webhandle now? Most of the garbage on there is either selfish complaining or opinions, not even any real drama. The tumblr community is god awful, but I've seen the Twitter side and it doesn't seem to bad compared to that monster.

I've seen people equate it to murdering a pet.

Ahahaha, that's hilarious. I hadn't seen that one personally. I've had several people in the passed put me on blocklists and made a callout post saying that I'm a terrible person for ruining their dragon's offspring list by not naming before I exalt. This whole scenario caused a whole firestorm on tumblr about naming before you exalting and naming before you put up an adopt and it really does crack me up.

The only thing really fun about flight rising anymore is exalting dragons from people who flip the fuck out about it.

Like these people have actual emotional meltdowns from someone else using a game mechanic.

Oohhh yeah. I've felt that before. I've gotten countless messages from people about exalting their dragons, when I wasn't doing it to piss people off. It really butters my toast laughing at the people that genuinely get pissed about it.

I’m speaking for me.

I think Flight Rising is an established game with a strong community and economy. Their growth and expansion to something like merch is something to be applauded.

No matter how many check marks and praise I give to the game, I can’t seem to get a thrill, enjoyment, and engagement with the game. What FR offers doesn’t fundamentally fulfill my needs as a player because their “end goals” isn’t something that interests me and the community, even without its toxicity, is something I’ve grown out of.

I’m sitting on top of a mountain of treasure doing nothing.

To anyone who isn’t a weak minded, sheltered keyboard SJW, PM me and I’ll give my treasure away for free. Amount depends on how many people ask.

 

 

There's a good reason people avoid the community. It's one of the most toxic cesspools I've ever encountered in my life. 

 

I absolutely agree. Especially on the Tumblr, the absolute cesspool of toxicity is disgusting. People arguing about people doing x things, and them turning back and complaining about x things is horrible and I hate seeing it. It's one of the reasons I ditched Tumblr because all I had ever been using it for is Flight Rising. It didn't help that there were so many people trying to defend the actions of people that absolutely didn't deserve it and etc.

 

As far as the gameplay, I enjoy it, but it's because this kind of gameplay is something I enjoyed. It's mundane and downright boring sometimes, but I'm so used to the games I've played throughout my life that all follow that kind of system that it's just fine to me. I don't blame you though. Not everybody enjoys it and it's fair to say that although it's a great game achieving good things, not everybody has to like it. That's for sure.

 

I wouldn't mind the treasure  But I'd never feel confident to ask someone for things. I feel weird doing it.
