Someone above mentioned that insomniacs tend to be stressed out because they don't dream or something.
So, not dreaming > stress > insomnia.
That is so not true, I dream all the time & I still have insomnia
My insomnia isn't as bad now but back when I had insomnia I had sleep paralysis D;
So like I'll lie in bed, unable to fall asleep, and BOOM sleep paralysis.
It's seriously the scariest shit that can happen, especially when I'm afraid of the dark ><
Well anyway, I have a similar dream to the original poster.
I actually have had a number of dinosaur/alien/weird creature taking over the world kind of dreams ever since I was a kid.
& some of them would carry on from where the last dream ended o.o
The dino dreams spanned 3-4 nights I think.
I recently had a Falling Skies-esque type of dream. You know the one where aliens take over the world.
Everyone was hiding on this small hill waiting for IDK what & this mega flying container came towards us.
It was supposed to be a sort of rescue pack with food and whatnot that had been missing & look pretty torn up so people were kinda apprehensive about opening it.
But they did anyway & out jumped like freaking aliens which started killing everyone so we ran over the hill into this town.
Everyone ran one way but for some reason my dad ran the other way so I followed him to make sure he's safe.
Turns out he hurt his leg or smth & went to get help from a clinic so I ran to find the others to tell them that.
However I met them halfway & they were running back cos there were aliens from the other side & somehow only I went back to the clinic.
We switched off all the lights so the aliens wouldn't find us but they did anyway.
So the aliens were freaking scary, having like weird shit powers and weapons, and deciding how they would kill us.
& then I developed some sort of lightning laser extension from my feet (LOL!) that I used to stab the aliens.
& then I woke up
I used to not have such 'traumatic' dreams lol. Most of my dreams were rather.. happy?
My dreams are starting to get kinda violent
I think there was one where I went around killing people.As for lucid dreaming, I've been trying to get into the 'mode' but have been unsuccessful
The one & only time I've lucid dreamt was when I dreamt that I was at a honey farm with my family.
My mom told me that the honey was really nice and I should try some, offering a jar of honey.
For some stupid reason, I stuck my entire arm into the jar and as I took it out, bees swarmed my arm.
I then realised that it was too damn stupid to be reality & realised it was a dream.
I woke up very soon later though, bees freak me out
*Sidenote* I just bought an item off AAA for 5NP & profit 70k o.o My first buy from AAA
