So the curve right across the street from where I live is a really popular spot for duos of pokemon.

I always kinda feel like I'm disrupting a conversation they're having when they face each other lol!

Got 67k in 30 minutes during Lucky Egg. Game shat itself on my phone about 17 minutes in hence I only got a 30k screenshot at the end.

Lastly, dodging is a godsend when taking down gyms or building up prestige. This video shows exactly how to do it and it's working great for me!

Starts around the :40 second mark.

I finally evolved pidgeot to into pidgeot. CP of around 450! Considering pidgeys are everywhere, I'm going to try and get a few more pidgeots to battle with and throw into gyms while I'm waiting to evolve my other Pokemon

In my experience with the beta it's actually wiser to not dump all of your candy and stardust into training a Pokemon.

Most likely you'll be able to catch the evolved version down the line and most likely it'll have a better movepool as well AND you'll have a shitton of stardust and candy necessary to keep it in the big leagues. Rather than dumping the stardust and candies into several of the same pokemon just for them to be outleveled by a new catch of the same evolution because you as a player became higher leveled.

If anything you can stick to evolving since it gives you decent Exp, I believe, and doesn't cost Stardust. Obviously evolve the things you have the most access to which is likely Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle/Caterpie. Weedle/Caterpie may not be as common as Pidgey/Rattata but you need half the amount of candy to evolve them so if you see enough of them it can even itself out.

Oh and also try to keep a variety of pokemon types both for your gym take down team as well as defending gym pokemon. Shitton of people out here are just putting whatever they find is strongest and here in AZ they're most likely Fire, Ground, Rock types with Pidgeottos and Raticates since they're so easy to obtain and there are multiples of these in one gym location. Anyone with Water pokemon or pokemon that learn Water type moves will easily storm through that gym as well as majority of the gyms with a similar set up. Think of putting in a different type than what is already established there to not make it so easy for enemy factions to take over your gym(s).
