#1725485 How do scores get reviewed?

Posted by Majesty on 17 March 2014 - 08:44 AM

There's a set review score for every game. They honestly suck at reviewing scores, even if it's a fairly impossible score, it's likely to get accepted. The process is unknown but I'm fairly certain they don't actually watch your gameplay and they just look at the score and possibly the amount of time it took to achieve. If it's way over anything that is possible, it's likely you'll get frozen. They take a few hours to a few days to review, and may reject the score without freezing your account because they just don't want to accept it (eg. for Eliv Thade, they will reject scores over 5k even if they are legitimately earned - what a waste of time!)

#1719896 Advert's Attack

I know the discussion is old, but to add to it, the reason scores over 900 are impossible is because every level has 50 seconds of time bonus and 1 point for every second remaining on the clock. You need to click 28 times and get rid of adverts all over the screen. Finishing the game with 0 time bonus gives 500 points. So, looking at the HST right now, people with 980 points on there must have finished all 10 levels in 2 seconds each to get the 480 points bonus. Impossible, they obviously cheated. :p

Generally, scores over 850 look sketchy, unless you're a well-known gamer. I would suggest not getting scores over 820 unless you want to be questioned by people. If you try playing for yourself, a score of 800 is still quite difficult.
