Up a creek

an unopened jar of coconut oil was dropped on the floor a few minutes ago.
It feels worse than if I had dropped it myself
because I have to hold back my frustration and try to show empathy, understanding and make it a teaching moment and shit.
I'm holding back tears and picking up glass.
because Don't burden kids with things they can't control. ie: financial worries.
because who even cries over coconut oil.

@neobo that sounds to me like one of the sites identifies that you're using a proxy server(example: texas) and is then given a false ip address as the source(california). Those are medium strength (distorting) proxies that pretend to be transparent proxies. A site would be able to see that you're using a proxy and think that they know your actual location but they don't. (unless your location is really texas or california and your real ip matches)
I just google proxy detector and try a few of the sites that pop up while using the proxy to see whats visible. Since I don't have much experience looking for free proxies I don't know of any good sites.
@graciea I'll have to look up windscribe, I haven't heard of it before!

I thought it would nice to have a thread to talk about where you buy your proxies for those of you who have subscriptions. Post your experiences good or bad and recommendations aswell.
my first experience was with bestproxyandvpn. I didn't really know anything and went with them on a whim. It was $5 a month for 1 proxy, I got 1 refresh a month which I used and the private proxies were always fast. I contacted support twice in the year that I was subscribed to them and both times their support got back to me within 10 minutes. When I started looking into more proxies I saw that there were better deals out there so I moved on.
I found My Private Proxy next and was expecting the same quality and service. Initially though it was a shit show. At first I bought the 5 proxy package for $10.57 usd (theres a 10% recurring discount you can use on signing up which I appreciated) I thought the price was infinitely better than what I had been paying for 1. Where do I even start. Okay, so I get my proxies and they were completely unusable. I can handle slow proxies but I needed an unbroken connection. I waited it out for a day to see if things would improve. They had a refund policy so I messaged their support (it's very important to be nice to your support ppl, this is a life rule) hoping to find a resolution and figured worst case I'd ask for a refund if we couldn't find better proxies. Long story short, use the free refresh before contacting support. They take 2-3 days to get back to you for each response but are nice and added a few days onto my subscription as compensation. Unfortunately I've fucked up several times and am always punished with days of downtime. (canceled subscription while waiting for a reply, then had to ask for it to be reversed. The second month I got a notification that payment would come out of my paypal soon so I went to their site and paid for it there thinking I was on top of things, then watched payment also come out of my paypal days later lol so I had to contact them again to get one refunded) They're good aslong as you dont need to contact them. Refresh your proxies each month though. I was afraid of getting a bad bundle and my great proxies became unusable after a month and a half. I've since bought bigger packages from them. Oh, and they've used the maintenance excuse word for word a few times now lol.

I voted for 'what have you been up to?'
I feel like it brought people back together even briefly and I enjoyed seeing people check in and share whats going on in their lives.

Is there a way to spoof your gps location for pokemon go? I don't have a data plan and no pokemon spawn near me.
I have a galaxy s4 android version 5.0.1, you can see what version you have under Settings/About Device.
I rooted my phone for this. for my phone/version I used this : https://www.androidf...052804347781773
(then I got Root Checker via the Playstore to verify root access was properly installed) afterwards you can go under About Device and click Version a few times and a lollipop will appear. moving on.
I then installed Hide My Root (also in playstore) because pokemon go will freak out and not work properly if it knows your phone is rooted
got the Fake GPS Location Spoofer https://play.google....s.fakegps&hl=en there *is* a free version, but I didn't test it with this/ was just looking for a method that worked for me and my phone
next I got a /System /App mover that does just that. also picked up Free Busybox which works with /System /App. have to open that one to fully install then was good to move the gps location spoofer to /system/app
With this you nolonger have to allow mock locations Developer Options (under About Device if you tap theBuild Number 7 times it'll enable the Hidden Developer Settings (dont fuck with)
which gets you around the 'failed to detect location' lock in Pokemon Go when that setting is turned on.
Turned Location in phone Settings to use gps only (not wifi , mobile networks) should be under Mode
For Settings in FakeGPS I check Expert Mode, read the info bit that pops up as it wont appear again, then use those recommended settings.
I'm still playing around with speed and distance trying to find what works best.
I change the distance to under 100. I like 25 the best, as 100 and up makes you blink around randomly and 25 or 50 makes you walk just a bit around a tight area.
shouldnt be used at all since the time spent between moving around is at your actual gps location. if your mock location is near your actual location it will run you back rather than reload you on that spot. There might be a sweet spot with distance/speed that will make incubating eggs a breeze.
With this I visited a few towns throughout BC and saw that basically everyone is playing the apk, I'm very sure at least one guy in my town also uses mock gps and two accounts for team support/gyms. But mostly I just visit the pokestops and stock up on pokeballs because my ability to throw and miss 10 times consecutively is ridiculous.
last note: I don't think niantic is going to ban anyone for early access because its a free game with in app purchases. They'd be turning away money along with huge demographics of players that wanted to play that badly. and given how the release went down it was brilliant. Built up so much more hype than giving us a date which honestly would have just generated complaints and disappointment as they go through the growing pains.
Mocking your gps location though is Definitely something they are going to ban for. Super unfair advantage with potential for infinite access to pokeballs/potions/revives means no need for in app purchases and that is something they will come after.

apple fritters. I use my wok since it uses less coconut oil (smaller bottom than a frying pan)

Oh you multi account? Do you just use an in-browser proxy or VPN? I've been thinking about doing that because I'd really like to start over with a new lair theme but I'm too attached to my current dragons. And I usually chuck stacks of 10 of the festival currency on the AH for 7-10k each, they always get bought. And yes, I get so much stuff during the festivals. Best time for item trading.
I just bought like 10 crowns. Are festival apparel easy to sell? I usually just let them rot in my hoard...
paid proxies with foxy proxy
For small stuff if you don't need to use the coliseum or fairgrounds you could use epic privacy browser http://www.neocodex....rivacy +browser

We're not really at a very high moral ground to criticize other cheating groups. That being said, those cheaters that steal other people's stuff (legit or not) are assholes.
I disagree. When put up against thieves, I would say that I own the moral high ground. Theres no tolerance for that shit here. Morally speaking we're the kings of the castle and they're the dirty rascals.
