AS5 = Arctic Silver 5, its a thermal compound
850w... that means nothing. QUALITY of the power supply is what matters, a GOOD 500w will completely DESTORY a garbage 850w. Its probably not the problem what whateva

Oh .. I looked up the Arctic Silver.. Is it some type of goo that you put on the cards?
I think a problem could be that my air conditioner thing is like above the graphics cards. Everything above is getting cooled, but the graphics cards are just to themselves.

Guess I'm thinking of my 8800 Ultra. It idles at 69 =/
but it's on a stock heatsink.
Check your cables, a lot of heat could mean your card is getting too much power.

too much power? would that have to do with the power supply? o.O I got a 850 W..
hot but not 89C
if they're 8800's, take off the heatsink and put AS5 on them, will drop it 10C or so

aftermarket thermal reducers? Is that what AS5 stands for? ermm.. any suggestions on what would fit and be a good match? Seriously having this computer on is like having a heater in my room.. It has my room warmer then every other part of the house

okies.. I downloaded some software to do more indepth reading.. Here are the results.
CPU: 26 C
SYSTEM 54 C
GPU1 89 C
GPU2 73 C
cpu fans 3068 RPM
nforce fans 4982 RPM
Dang.. I knew the graphics cards seemed really hot compared to the other areas.. but those temps aren't problems right ? I should also mention that I was even really doing anything and it was those temps.
