#2010549 When you're anti-social....

Posted by RavenSnow on 23 June 2017 - 09:01 AM

When you're an anti-social asocial person on an internet forum, how do you increase your post count without spamming the forum with useless posts?

In my case, you find the general chat area, and ask the populace about how you increase your post count, when you're an anti-social asocial person :p

Seriously though, I find this a lot in communities I'm a member of. I enjoy reading people's posts, I enjoy sharing resources (or buying them) but I'm not so comfortable taking part verbally (or through the written word, in the case of internet communities). Even in a group of my close friends, I'm more inclined to sit back and listen, offering my opinions only when asked.

Does anyone here feel similar? Pure curiosity (and the desire to up my post count :p)

Raven x

Edit: Thanks to  LanaDelGay for teaching me a new word! <3

Antisocial: not sociable or wanting the company of others.

Asocial: avoiding social interaction; inconsiderate of or hostile to others (Not too much the second half of that)

“Asocial” suggests indifference to or separation from society, whereas “antisocial” more often suggests active hostility toward society.

ROFL! I've never watched house, but this quote makes me thing I really should give it a try hahaha

I don't collect them in a folder or anything, but I'm also a huge lover of quotes, so picking just a top/current few favourites is hard but...

  1. "Don't make people into heroes, John. Heroes don't exist, and if they did I wouldn't be one of them." - Sherlock Holmes, BBC Adaption
  2. "The woods are lovely dark and deep, but I have promises to keep." - Robert Frost
  3. "You know full well, as I do, the value of sisters' affections: There is nothing like it in this world." - Charlotte Bronte
  4. "If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger." - Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
  5. "Tea, actually. I'll kill you with my teacup" - Riddick

#1895946 Scavenger Hunt Hello

Posted by RavenSnow on 24 July 2015 - 01:01 AM

Well, I'm not a new member anymore, not really, but I never did the whole introduction/scavenger hunt thing, so I figured I'd give it a try and see how it goes...

Post in the introduction section with five facts about yourself

Hi! My name's Ari (fact one),

I am a writer with a lot of free time on her hands to play games such as Flight Rising and Neopets (fact two)

I think that a game should be fun and not hard work, which is why I have no qualms about running programs such as Abrosia, or buying FR treasure with 'other'. (fact three)

I have a dog called Bumble, who is a black/tan/white German Shepherd cross, and a cat called black and white cat called spooky. They are the biggest coward and the clumsiest animals in the world, respectively. (fact four)

My favourite food in the whole world is spaghetti bolognaise, and I could honestly eat it until I start to look like it rofl.

Uh, I don't get the reference. Could someone fill me in?

Cthulhu is a fictional deity created by writer HP Lovecraft. H. P. Lovecraft's initial short story, "The Call of Cthulhu", was published in 1928 and established the character as a malevolent entity hibernating within an underwater city. The imprisoned Cthulhu is apparently the source of constant anxiety for mankind at a subconscious level, and the short story asserts the premise that, while currently trapped, Cthulhu will eventually return.

Welcome Cthulhu ^.^

#1775588 AB lists (Share your up to date lists!)

Posted by RavenSnow on 24 June 2014 - 03:45 PM

I actually made these lists for myself but figured I'd share in case anyone wants them. They were made tonight from the Neocodex Item Database so should be up to date.

I have a list for EVERY Neopets Shop that had items with a profit margin of 20k+.

If a shop has one item with a 20+ profit, it's in that zip file. If it didn't, I skipped the shop.

I don't know if it's any use to anyone else, as I said, and I haven't tested them out to see if a 20k+ profit is feasible, but there they are.
