Yeah there's a transition phase and it's different how long it takes for every person, but if you pull yourself through that, the results are apparently worth it.

I guess I mostly want to try it because my hair really isn't healthy. I've tried all kinds of shampoos, but nothing that really suits me. I have really wavy hair that's hardly manageable. Usually when I've washed it, it's like it's exploded. And you'd think that waves would have a nice spring to them, but with me it's the kind that just goes every which way and is a mess. As a kid I even had curly hair but somehow that had disappeared after my mother made the stupid decision to let them cut my hair very short. They never returned after that : (

This was me a little more than half a year ago when I just washed my hair and blow dried it and brushed it although it looks like it hasn't:

Looks anything but healthy to me. Just so dry and strawy I don't know. I just wish my hair could be a bit more softer or silky.

My hair is a lot longer now, and the weight causes the top to remain flat now, so only the ends are wavy. But bleh I hate it.
