#2015571 Capsule Gene Released!

Posted by graciea on 31 August 2017 - 08:30 PM

News post isn't out yet, and it's not even in the scryshop yet either (it should be in an hour or few, though) but here's the requirements for it on Baldwin's Brew. :p

EDIT: About 5 minutes after I posted this they started the Live Update, haha. Here's the gene preview!

#2014841 Ban Wave?

Posted by graciea on 20 August 2017 - 11:04 PM

Yeah, at least Neo gets back to you at some point and you can actually have a conversation - in some form - with them. With Flight Rising, 9 times out of 10 they'll just give you a copy pasted email saying you'll stay banned regardless of what evidence you have and that the answer will never change.

It's ridiculously frustrating. :/

#2014812 Ban Wave?

Posted by graciea on 20 August 2017 - 07:29 PM

Lol, I'm super salty about what happened here.

I'm also really curious on how the staff chose to ban some and wipe others, though.

:fyou: Screw that person. Can't believe they threw other people under the bus to try and get out of their punishment.

Hopefully they read my tickets, I sent in one a couple days ago, but I'm sending another in now. :/

Unfortunately FR's customer service is notoriously bad with responding in general, but I know some people in the community who have been wrongfully banned and sent in a ticket only to be responded to with an automated, obviously copy-and-paste message telling them that the ban will not be appealed no matter how much evidence they may have and that further emails will be ignored.

I really hope you get some sort of answer though, Froggo. Sometimes they don't even respond to emails at all - it's really frustrating. :/

#2014785 Hacking ACNL: Does it remove the purpose/fun of playing?

Posted by graciea on 20 August 2017 - 02:52 PM

I hack in bells and villagers, along with any furniture sets that are event/time exclusive that I wanted.

I was initially determined to play ACNL without hacking anything, but after a few months of relatively stale gameplay and constantly resetting trying to get things perfect, I just gave up with that and decided to make my house as pretty as possible + get all of my favorite villagers in.

#2005169 Opal & Snake Buddies!

Posted by graciea on 13 April 2017 - 09:37 PM

A new update is finally here, and a gorgeous one at that - we got a new (gem) tertiary gene and some new animal familiars!

Opal definitely is one of my favourite genes now, look at how pretty it is. :D

Some opals are even two-toned with accent colours, like Sunset!

And here's Osiem's officialtumblr post showing how all the new snake buddies look on all the breeds! I especially like how they look on the Bogs. :)

What do you think of this new update?

#2004984 My cat, Princess, playing fetch... what does your pet do?

Posted by graciea on 10 April 2017 - 09:32 PM

Oh man, I wish I could have a cat! I'm terribly allergic to them. :(

That aside, the only pet I have is a big lizard (Blue Tongue Skink) who mostly just likes to follow my hands hoping I'll feed it. Been thinking of getting a more interactive animal sometime soon though, maybe a puppy...

#2004467 FR April Fools!

Posted by graciea on 02 April 2017 - 07:07 PM

So how did everyone enjoy it? Haha :D

I think Akiri did a fantastic job with the new HD lines lmao, it definitely gave me a good laugh. Look at how beautiful this Ridgeback is.

That aside, I really love the Invisibility Cloak! It's so cool to see everyone be creative with it, I've been seeing a ton of animal icons around with people putting the birds/cats/frogs on with the cloak. Also It's really handy for previewing apparel on scries! You can put the invisibility cloak on and save the file like this:

Then grab your scry from the scrying workshop:

And in an image editing program, just layer the apparel on top!

You could probably do this for each individual apparel item too, but that's a lot of saving haha

#2004463 Money and Meals

Posted by graciea on 02 April 2017 - 06:52 PM

I don't eat a lot in general; most of my meals are just 99 cent cup noodles from the local grocery store lol

When I do eat out though I almost never spend more than $25. I'm just really money-conscious and I tend to order small because I know I have a hard time finishing full meals on my own. When I'm out with a friend I just eat off of their plate/share LMAO

#2003885 Ranger Apparel!

The artist for the Archer set, Zephemeral, posted previews of the full set on their tumblr! :D

The WCs just look so good.

#2003883 Can you keep a leveled head?

Posted by graciea on 25 March 2017 - 07:04 PM

Have you ever been in a (f.e. car) accident? Were you badly injured? Were you able to prevent an accident by quick action?

Yes to the first two. Except the problem with me is that I don't register that there is danger happening to me or around me for a very long time, so I act unaffected and proceed as normal. Which also means that I don't actually do anything to stop the accident because I didn't realize there was danger happening. I'm kinda 'dull' in that aspect, ahaha...

Have you witnessed an accident? Did/could you help out? What did you do? Or did you suffer from the bystander effect? Did you feel like you could or should've helped out more?

Yes several times, but I'm usually a bystander or just waiting around to see what I can personally help with. Most of the accidents I've witnessed, there were already a good handful of people trying to help and were on the scene, so I didn't really think I should barge in there and overwhelm the victim with more people unless I was specifically needed. In the accidents I did help out, it was usually helping calm down the victim and stop any bleeding and calling 911.

Have you been in a life-threatening situation? Perhaps something that wasn't life-threatening in retrospect but felt like your last moments at the time?

Ohhh yes definitely. I'm terribly careless and with the fact that I register danger very late, I end up doing a lot of stupid things and not realizing it until after. Though I've definitely learnt my lesson on not crossing during red lights, even if there's no cars around...

Were you put in a life-threatening situation because of a (former) loved one?

My ex threatened to kill me a lot and had my address and would tell me they would come to where I live and kill me themselves. Looking back on it now just feels kinda surreal. I'm just glad they're out of my life, lol.

What's your biggest fear? And the second biggest? The third? What's your biggest fear other than common fears like fear of heights or spiders? Disappointing your mentors, loved ones, family? Never achieving anything? Ending up in the gutter? Dying alone? Dying first or dying last?

I mostly am scared of failing and disappointing people. I just don't want people's perceptions of me to be negative, and I have a lot of anxiety and fear surrounding that. I'm also scared of crossing the street, and usually need someone with me to do so.

Do you fear death?

To some extent? I fear my loved ones dying more than I fear myself dying. They all mean so much to me that I'm terrified at the idea of never being able to see them again.

#2002955 Ranger Apparel!

Posted by graciea on 13 March 2017 - 08:42 PM

Live update is still happening but the full set is out; they're just adding the other colours now.

What do you guys think? Looks like perfect Robin Hood apparel, and I'm also glad that they're adding some weapons that aren't swords. :D My swordpile is big enough, imo.

Also I really like how the bow & arrow look on Wildclaws. They're holding the bow! Can't imagine they can shoot very far with those short arms, though... (Spirals and Nocturnes also hold the bow, but Wildclaws are by far my favourite. :p )

#1999663 Proxy Subscriptions / Suggestions

Posted by graciea on 09 January 2017 - 01:31 PM

I've personally just been using Windscribe for free because that's what my friend recommended to me and I don't yet need extensive proxies and VPNs, but looking through the sites listed here I might consider getting in with SSLPrivateProxy since their package deals are pretty good. :')
