In Topic: How MANY Items do you usually AB per day?

21 April 2017 - 08:30 PM

I usually snag anywhere from 2-8 items a day on average. I have about 10 accounts, though I don't use them all. Magic and stamps are my primary go-tos, and I'd say I'm pretty conservative with my setting. I might hang up my hat ABing though soon since I think I found a new more "legal" method of getting NPs, but I'm still waiting to test it out :p

In Topic: What are some actual fun neopets games to play?

10 April 2017 - 02:18 PM

Personally, I'm obsessed with Ultimate Bullseye II and Pakiko--especially the latter. I can easily spend an hour or two every other day playing that game. Also, Spinacles. Kinda like Faerie Bubbles, but IMO so much better.

In Topic: Been away for about a year and a half... Whats changed?

04 April 2017 - 05:05 AM

I don't know about there being any new glitches since I just recently came back to Neopets myself after ~10 years. But yeah, the site IS a bit more barren than it ever was in terms of player base, but I don't think it's too bad. I mean, I've only been using Abrosia for less than two weeks and I've managed to sell tons of hard to sell items, including a 20+ million item (that I snagged my first two hours using Abrosia on some low as hell settings -- Happy Birthday to me, lmao).

Either way, I just like seeing myself progress, filling my stamp album and leveling up my pets. Just fun for me, personally. Also I like seeing all the different items there are on Neopets, and I suppose Neopets helps curb my curiosity of being a "small business owner," in a sense, haha. Also I actually do enjoy quite a few of the flash games.

Just partook in my first HPD last night and it was a blast, too.

In Topic: Anyone use the Opera VPN?

28 March 2017 - 07:31 PM

Interesting, I want to check that out. I used to use Epic Privacy Browser but it's a little... bad. So if Opera can hold up that would be handy.

It's definitely worth looking into. My only concern is that I'm not sure whether or not Abrosia goes through it, or through your normal IP since the Opera VPN is browser based. Not sure if there's a way to check, either, so I don't use the program unless I'm using my paid for universal VPN :/

@neonerd22 @Amethyst

I use one for all of my bots (not Neopets). It works great, but it randomly assigns you an IP from the location specified. So if you set US, you're going to get a random one out of the few they have near your area. That's why I set some of mine to Canada, but there are a few that are quite a bit more laggy than the others. Multiple instances of Opera can be used to have more IPs.

Glad to hear you've had a good experience with it. That's one of the reasons I like it, because it's easy to have multiple IPs on one computer without jumping through hoops. But yeah, there really is a limited selection of IPs. Either way, I'm definitely reading up on this User Agent stuff.

I wasn't even aware it had one. I might have to try this out myself

Yup! I've been meaning to post about it here at NC but assumed that everyone might have already heard of it and I didn't want to make a fool of myself, but there weren't any past topics on it, so I figured I'd just toss it out there. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but with Neopets' leniency towards multiple IP loggins for accounts, I would think Opera's built-in VPN service is a safe bet since a LOT of people use Opera and utilize the service since it's just a quick click of a button, so the IPs are probably familiar to Neopets. Of course, that doesn't mean not to be extra careful when interacting between accounts, because that could just as well be a red flag. But if done right... *shrug*
