Anyone use the Opera VPN?

28 March 2017 - 12:00 PM

I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with the free VPN that Opera offers with its browser. I've been playing around with it and testing it on and off using whatsmyIP.org and the lagado proxy test, and it seems to hold up well... then again I'm not the most tech savvy person, so who knows. But I think it's nice. I do have a paid for proxy service, but honestly the Opera VPN seems to work just fine on its own?

So... anyone have any experience with it?

Hey, Everyone!

26 March 2017 - 12:19 PM

So I've been a member for about two days now but haven't made an intro post, so I figured I should go ahead and introduce myself. Or something. I dunno, I guess you can call me Dad, lmao.

ANYWAY. I've never used any AB programs before, but oh man have I got to say that I am loving Abrosia. I was doing fairly okay with just the free version but I loved it so much that I decided to throw my money at it... then I snagged my first UB worth a seriously pretty penny just hours later! Holy heck. I mean, honestly all I want is to have enough in the bank to earn 100k/day in interest, but now that I have a taste of this program... oh man.

So, in conclusion --

Hello.

I'm Dad.

I love Abrosia.

Thank you, that is all.

Problem Using Abrosia on VPN?

24 March 2017 - 01:13 PM

I like to think that I'm not completely computer illiterate, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I've looked high and low for the past ~3 hours on a solution to this, and nothing seems to be working.

My problem: I'm using a VPN (CyberGhost, free) and trying to use Abrosia on my shell account. Problem is, I can't log into my account. I've tried using TunnelBear (also free) as well, and am having the same issue. When I disable the VPN and try to log into Abrosia via my main, however, it works just fine.

Also:

  • I know that my shell isn't blocked because I can log in via the browser.
  • I've tried using a free proxy while the VPN was enabled; I was able to successfully connect it to Abrosia, but was still unable to log in.

So am I missing something here? I was under the impression that you should be able to just flip on your VPN and it'd be smooth sailing from there--one of the reasons I don't want to go the proxy route, because I like the added reliability a VPN offers.

EDIT: I downloaded Surf Easy to give it a go, and it has been working fine for the past day. I guess all VPNs aren't made equal. Anyway, hopefully this at least helps someone out who's having some VPN problems.
