I started dating a girl in August and I got a new job. The new job was taking around 12 hours out of my day versus the old one, so I started skipping out on the gym. Then I started picking up meals at work and along the way out of convenience, slipping back into the bad habits. The girlfriend and I moved in together, and we got in the habit of going out for dinners often, and cooking poor meals when we decided to actually cook. I had long asked for a juicer for my birthday which was two weeks ago, and I got one. I felt like that was the perfect time to start a reboot, or a juice fast. This process is well documented in "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" by Joe Cross which I recommend everyone watch; it's on Netflix by the way. Long story short, the girlfriend watched that documentary with me and she wanted to give juicing a try as well. She isn't overweight at all, but it has many health benefits and she thought it would be encouraging for me if she participated as well.

Last night we went and rounded up our supplies for Day 1 and are going strong. In the documentary Joe fasts for 60 days. We are both starting with 5 and seeing how we feel and what results we get, and we may end up choosing to try a longer period in the future, but I believe we will at least shoot for ONE five day reboot per month, just because. In the last 9 months I have gained about 40 pounds back out of the 100 I had lost, so here's to taking a step in the right direction. I included some pics below for fun of our supplies and my juicer.
