Germans actually speak an insane amount of English. It's basically required in early education if you wish to attend universities. I had a couple perfect speakers go through a new hire program with me. Was fun hearing about it from them.

When I get there I'll be finishing the final courses and such for M.E. When I graduate from there I get BSc Mechanical and Process Engineering then I come back to VT and graduate with BSc Mechanical Engineering.

When I was in school, they were brand new technology. A couple of places had commercial opertations, but it was pretty much research.
