smart peoples of Codex, best way to get electrolytes? Apparently my standard potatoes, vitamins and Powerade go to are sucking.

Is it possible you're drinking so much water you're diluting the electrolytes? Supplementing is good, I do it too, but if your supps have magnesium stearate in them, chances are pretty good you aren't absorbing as much as the bottle says you should be. It's a filler that chelates to the vits/minerals so you don't absorb as much. Then you toss that in with a zillion other individual factors and you might not be getting nearly as much as you think you are. I like fried potatoes with greens and eggs a lot.

It's definitely possible @Jess. I'm an anxious water drinker. So if I'm anxious or in bed, I'm sipping constantly. I probably drink 4-6 33 fl. oz bottles a day. and I'm currently just taking the one a day adult vitamin gummies, since my husband started taking them. I supplement my potassium/sodium with powerade and potatoes mostly. I have lost my appetite a bit in the last few weeks so it's entirely possible that heavily influenced my pre-op tests. and I've had GI problems with malabsorption forever. so who even knows lmao. And I just have not been going to all my doctors like I should be with my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I'm not *too* worried. I just don't want them to cancel my surgery over this e.e
