I got the first bill for my brain surgery (this one is from the surgeon himself and doesn't include the hospital stay or other doctors in on my surgery) and it was 50 grand USD. Thank goodness for my awesome insurance. I only owe 70 USD at the end of it. Thank fuck seriously.

I know right @Megazord. So thankful for my insurance. But this bill isn't the worst to come. I don't know if my insurance will cover the stay or the other doctors. But still, just glad the first one was only 70 dollars (and it's to pay for the appointment 2 days prior to my actual surgery, the surgery procedure done by the NS was fully covered by my insurance).

Awesome. Worst case scenario now is that they stick you with like 20% of the hospital stay (which is probably gonna be 20% of what your surgeon charges)

So far, the weirdest change with my brain surgery is my voice. It sounds totally different to myself now. My husband insists it's the same, but I sound so different. My NS warned me about these hypersensitive perceptions. Also, my husband keeps laughing at how I have to turn my head cuz I look like Harold from Person of Interest. >>

Okay so I looked at an old recording. My voice sounds deeper now. Personally, my old voice sorta sucked. I dig this new voice haha.
