There's the whole "I love him" problem.
He just got a promotion, so he's training a replacement. Shouldn't be traveling nearly as much by this time next year. But I'm still ticked that I was supposed to have him for another week, yet he's already gone -- and for much longer than planned -- because some moron in Costa Rica mistimed the expiration of one of their machines' radio guns.

Trying not to get too TMI here, but boyfriend travels for a living, so he goes long stretches of time without. Therefore, when he finally comes home, he doesn't last very long. Translation: good for him; not so much for me.

Spending my day petitioning my university for a return to good standing. Can't believe I have to slog through this shit after pulling straight A's and being awarded Provost Honors.

Yeah, but to receive financial aid from the university, you must be in good standing, which means successfully completing 36 units, which means being a full-time student year-round.
I'm basically petitioning that I was a victim of extenuating circumstances and should therefore be returned to good standing and have my financial aid reward returned to me. Problem is, petitions are rarely approved.

My boyfriend's tenant washes our silverware by hand rather than in the dishwasher because he "was raised to not waste electricity or water." First off, it uses more water to wash by hand. Second, you can't claim to want to save energy and then run a PC, a laptop, and the PS3 simultaneously for sixteen hours each day. SANITIZE THE FUCKING FORK IN THE FUCKING DISHWASHER, JACKWAGON.

I agree that he his behavior is completely unacceptable given your circumstance. No, that is not strong enough of a word, his behavior is near criminal and completely and totally unacceptable. At first I thought you were over-reacting a tad, but I now understand and believe you're under-reacting given the circumstance.

I need antibacterial soap precisely because the spread of this disease leaves me open to MRSA. I've already fought it off once, but it took me three years. Your mother has my sympathy.

coltom: You do understand how load balancing works, right? 9 out of 10 servers are working right, the 10th doesn't. A user's request gets sent to the bad server and bam. assuming they don't have proper health checking configured for their load balancer, this is exactly what they'd see. But then, you don't design load balanced web infrastructures for a living, do you?
