From what I was told, there is no hard and fast rule of a deadline for voting...I picked Monday initially since my deadline time was selected as later in the day than many end (and I selected my end time based on what is convenient to my schedule), but now I am considering extending the deadline for voting to Tuesday rather than Monday due to the delay since having closed the entrant thread. I think that ensuring voters get a chance to participate is important.

it's just that in the sotw template written by strat he says voting must ends in 2 days. but i guess that's ok. it's not like there is much difference.

I discussed the logistics with Strat beforehand when I was asked whether I'd be interested in hosting SOTW #69. I was told to allow at least 2 days for voting, so that 2 days is a minimum allowance. Considering technical difficulties which have unfortunately crossed my path tonight, I would rather err on the side of allowing quite adequate exposure of the entries to voting forum browsers than deny them the opportunity for their entries to be adequately exposed for viewing. There's so many of us living in so many different time zones, I think you see what I mean by this. :)

Drakonid, I am NOT a fan of the everyone-gets-a-trophy mentality in the least (FFS, check my age, I'm SO not into that), but I do like Ellea's proposition for that ribbon, so I am going to prepare it...I don't think anyone in the competitive and no-bullshit world of Codex is into the whole everyone-gets-a-trophy thing for real, so it's tongue in cheek at best. ;)

Indeed, it's gonna be fun! Heck, in the spirit of the whole Christmas/other holiday (sorry, I like saying Christmas but don't want to offend anyone) season, I am thinking about adding a minor prize as another prize for 5th place, lol!
