I cant get my rom to work
ill wait for the NA release
This, kind of. My flashcard won't play the ROM properly due to firmware issues, so I'm stuck waiting until the NA release.=/ It was tough not being able to play it when it was first leaked, but I could care less now. From a battling perspective, this gen ruined fucking everything and then almost all of the Pokemon released are terrible as I share this sentiment:
I basically only liked the 1st and 2nd generation, those still kind of looked like animals or plants.
People say these Pokemon are "different" and "original", but there's a difference between originality and being fucking retarded. I mean, c'mon, a fucking ice cream evo line? A garbage bag evo line? These Pokemon are not organic in the slightest. Ken Sugimori's style has changed to the point now where I think he's trying too hard. =/

I must agree. I found the robotic pokemon of the 3rd generation nothing, and while the 4th generation had a nice storyline in the game, most pokemon weren't very attractive to me either. Of course I have some exceptions, but they will never feel the same. Like Absol, absol is awesome and would fit perfectly into the 1st or 2nd generation.

You only prefer them because you grew up with them, and if you can't see that, you're an idiot.
There are over six hundred and fifty pokemon, now. Imbuing all of them with an equally profound sense of identity and originality is an impossible task.
Get over it.

I'm sorry, but all this crap about the "originals being the best" is just bollocks.

I like things that look like things and not abstract nonsense. Sure, there is a nostalgic aspect to my love, but fuck...
Like, really?

It's still pokemon as long as the gameplay stays pretty much the same then the design flaws of the pokemon dont really matter imo.

It's not fun using Pokemon (especially in this case, when there's nothing but the new Pokemon until you receive the National Dex) that you don't like. I mean, there's six to ten Pokemon this gen that look all right -- enough for a proper team -- but the Pokemon are just as big a part of the fun as the mechanics.

I had been avoiding the new pokemon as long as I could, as I've played literally every game of every series made so far. Black/White I haven't so much as looked at so far, but this? Really? Fucking ridiculous.
I've enjoyed every pokemon from red/blue/yellow, to gold/silver/crystal, and even ruby/sapphire/emerald. Diamond/pearl/platinum were alright, good story line, but didn't like them adding pokemon to evolution chains.
But these? These are completely stupid.

Mmmmm, Crab Cakes.
I laughed way harder than I needed to, thanks Punkrockbigmouth. I originally thought that was an evolution of Parasect until I looked up the pokedex for B&W. I was about to rage.

Although Platinum was kinda cool and tolerable.

Silver/gold is where they shoulda stopped adding more pokemons really.
Although Platinum was kinda cool and tolerable.
I thought Diamond/Pearl was the point when they start to release new pokemons and moves for the sake of releasing new ones; we don't need crunch (previously unique dark type move) to come in 6 more types with same strength but different names.

Frankly, they can pump out whatever crap for new Pokemon and I'll still play the new games anyways, the only problem I have is the unnecessary amount of "Legendary" pokemon they are pumping out which have almost no significance other than they are more powerful than the common pokemon, which is useless if you don't care about using the most overpowered team to play the game.
Oh, without a doubt. But that doesn't mean I won't fucking bitch and moan 'til the cows come home. >_>;

i understand what you mean. it is really just getting way too wierd. and im thinking they tried to make a electric type 'rapiddash' (zebra thingi), but i really think it fails. nowhere near as majestic as the rapidash that i know and love.

well. having JUST ONE dark type move is kinda useless no?
i still think that the dark moves are cool.
