I've read old topics on here, but I need some more options.
I bought a bunch of shooting star muffins + radioactive muffins.
Also, any retired book I could find.
Anything else? I plan to sell them in about a year or two.

A lot of the items in the Pharmacy rise in prices all the time. I remember I use to buy Thick Goggles for 8k and no one would buy them. So I just stocked them in my sdb. Now they're worth 50k+ a piece and I have like twenty-five in my bank.

When it comes to long-term investments, the only sort of items I'm ever willing to consider are Retired items. Especially items like books that are one time use and slowly dwindle away.

I was considering making this exact same topic a few days ago, so I'm also interested in hearing some more suggestions.

    Stamps imo.

You need to think of something to invest in that there will be a demand in if retierd. A high demand. So avatar items usualy.

For eg, the island ashia stamp went from like 500np to 150k in a month or so of retiering.

I have a few stamps all stocked up

Can you tell if an item is going to retire in the near future?

    Not usualy Juupon no :(

Best bet is to go for very early released items though and they should retier sooner than new items.

hmm ring of sloth stamps seem like a good investment as they are retired right now and relatively cheap and would be used for the battledome collector avatar.

Should I buy Mystery Island Aishas Stamp + Ring of Sloth Stamp now, even though the price is fairly high? Will it keep rising?
I'm going to buy both, so I hope they do :)
    anything else?

I'm sure they'll keep rising as people add them to their stamp books for the avatar. As to how long it'll take them to rise, I can't say.

Probably take years to rise since they aren't many new members.

    still looking for stuff :p
I bought a bunch of decorated neggs that were given out for the advent calendar, and some books.
I'm guessing they will be worth alot in a couple years as they are R101's.

    Has TNT stopped retiring stamps???

It seemed the last major stamp retirement was when they retired Stamps like Ummagine Stamp and Bottle of Sand Stamp. Although Ring of Sloth Stamp is a good investment, there's still tons on the market, and there are still more people who are waiting for the price to rise before selling.

If you can accurately predict HT retirements, then you got it big.
ECA is a good investment, i would say. Apparently they are not made by the cooking pot anymore.

It's unlikely TNT will retire Gbomb anytime soon. Even if they do release another type of bomb, then it would probably have different icon types, so Gbomb would still remain there (like Ftab/Gshield) or (PCC/SoS/KBT)

It's ridiculous though now, with everyone investing, I don't even bother anymore. For example, the Where is Bonju book recently given out by the Advent Calendar is already 9k on the wiz.

If i want to invest, i would just go with stock market.

We should all chip in to inflate some advent calendar books..
Since their books there's always gonna be demand.

    For instance
    Holiday Fashion
is 1.5k now.....if we could drag it up to 10k we can make a nice profit if we have bulk stashes.
But it will take a while and cost a bit

if we knew, we'd be stock piling, not telling others about it :ninja:

wouldn't it be better if more people were in it? that way there would be more people to help buy it and inflate it....unless you're really that rich and can buy everything yourself

And does neopets announce when they retired items? Or are we expected to find out ourselve?

And lastly neggs....there's a demand for retired neggs? Do retired items count as gourmet food?

    More people = less control

The market can get flooded if someone in the group decides to sell off early and cause the entire group to dump EVERYTHING since prices will crash and everybody will lose.

Stocking up on something you THINK is going to retire isn't really a good investment. You're better off taking note of holidays and time specific avatar items, stocking up beforehand and just slowly unload them all when they inflate.

Or just buy 1000 stocks everyday for every.

lol if you're inflating can't you just buy all of that guys items if he decides to flood?
Or just wait it out a bit more? I mean inflating is a long process would it hurt to wait for all the items in the market to be brought?

And i mean if the item is constantly in demand likes books or gourmet food you really won;t have to be worried right? Cause it'll just get used up overtime anyway

cant believe no one has brought up stocks.

simply buy 1000 of the same one for as long as u can for years until it finally reaches 200+

many people who abuse this method get over hundreds of million

Retired neggs/books always go up in price. Or time-specific items like advent calendar items. Because that is the only time you can find them.

I dont trust stocks....you better hope that specific stock goes up after a while, if it doesn't, your screwed if you invest millions into it.

    what is ECA?
