I quit neo and just came back after about 4 months.

Can anyone tell me why my book shop with books priced alot less then the wizard is not selling anything?

Is that because there are no faerie quests?

It seems odd it's been over 24 hours and I haven't sold a thing?

Are you using shop wizard or super shop wizard - it may be that there are lower prices on the super shop wizard that aren't showing?

Books don't sell to well. Just price them lowest on shop wiz and they'll sell soon enough.

The only other thing I can think of would be the coding in your shop - I know I've tried to buy items from shops before and items didn't display because of incorrect coding.

Books are HTS. You just need to be patient.

I basically only sell books. And I turn shit over extremely quickly, except for UBs. Those are a nightmare to pawn off.

For anything < 10K, if you want a quick sale, 500+ less than the shop wizard lowest. For anything above 10K, 1500+ less. If it's in the 10-12K range, drop it down to 9800-9900 for a quick sale. 4 digits vs. 5 digits sticks out easily. If it's an UB, you can either take a chance on getting a sale priced for 99,999 in your shop and miss out on the potential profit from the TP, or you can throw it up on the post. But keep in mind you could go away for 4 more months and come back, and you could quite possibly be without an offer still.

Your best bet is to price stuff low enough to draw major attention to your shop. You will make big money off of people coming in and buying tons of books at once, usually for wanting to read them all to a pet or two. I've had people spend upwards of 250K in my shop at once buying books that average less than 10K in price. Repeat buyers. You want them.

If you're having trouble selling buyable books, you're doing it wrong. :p

With so many cheap books (and the scroll potion) the only ones that actually buy books are those that want to win the trophy for reading (and they are really few)
or for completing the faerie's quests (wich had been removed due to the TFR plot)
I would suggest you to ab on another shop.

Well, actually I still have some MPs that just cannot be sold for one reason or another.
Some months ago I had them sold before a week (and without selling them to resellers)

Maybe they are just the hardest to sell MP's
or maybe it's really an neopian economic crisis.

Ya, and it sucks. Is it from the plot and people spending loads on codestones and other BD items?

Maybe it's because less players are actually online these days!
It tells you on the homepage how many are on, and the numbers are not as astounding as before, and the quests probably effects the sales as well..

Lower all your prices regardless of the original price.

when I want things to sell i just go to each page and just knock off 500 the original price. this brings in like 100-500k in one day.

Then I'm willing to bet he isn't that far below the shop wizard price. That, or there are numerous prices in other shop wizard name categories that are beating his.

No they are really low thousands and hundreds below.

Maybe things are just not as good as they were. I just release now that it was actually May this year that I stopped playing and things were slowing down then as well.

I have sold some things just they don't sell as good as they usually do.

Anyone have any other suggestions for AB shops?

It used to be Books and Foods were the best shops to have....

How expensive are the books we're talking here? Below 20K, 20K-50K, or above 50K? The latter two still take a bit of time to sell, simply because there isn't tons of demand for items of that price. :\
