Right now I am rockin' Torchlight, though it's a far cry from being a favourite.  It fails for not having a multiplayer mode.

Is the legit english version out or were you just playing some shoddy translated version? I was pretty excited when I found out this was going to be released but I haven't been following it too much.

The legit versions aren't being released in NA until 6th March. Europe's release date is set as "Spring 2011", but should reach the UK at the same time as the 3DS. You totally should be excited for it - even the harshest game critics have been giving it glowing reviews and the game looks wonderful.

Has anyone confirmed if SquareEnix is remaking FFVII for Playstation 3? I heard a rumor and it almost made me pass out from joy. I don't care if it takes ten years to redo! I just want to play the freaking game. I feel my nerd status depleting as we speak.

They've confirmed that they're maybe considering the possibility of remaking it at some point in the near or distant future. Up until early this year, they were pretty dismissive of remaking it - saying it would take forever to get a game that old up to modern expectations. Then after FFXIII was released, they changed their tune to "uh maybe we will". On the one hand, it'd be a licence to print money - on the other, if they fucked it up, it could be the final nail in the Final Fantasy coffin.

However, the original is available for PS3 and PSP on the PSN, apparently.

You don't say... Even more of a reason to get a PS3 now. Shithead ex took the Xbox I gave him for his birthday - so there goes Oblivion IV, Dead Space, Left For Dead I & II, Bioshock and FFXIII. But I just want a new version of FFVII, not Dirge of Cerberus or Crisis Core, but the actually game made beautiful and adaptable with the voice actors as optional.

Possibly the developers. Sadly, I doubt anyone here is a Zelda developer. It was supposed to be released early this year, after being delayed last year. As of late December 2010 it was only "over half complete".

I do say! But I wouldn't hold your breath. Your ex sucks, but you can get most of those games second hand for PS3 at pretty good prices (especially if you grab them now whilst there's sales going on!). Obviously, L4D and L4D2 won't run on it, but you can probably grab those off Steam for your computer.

I would have gladly traded my Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core and Advent Children for a FF7 remake! I shit a brick when they rerendered the intro the FF7 on the PS3 and was heartbroken to find out it was just a showcase demo... It's been so long though that I'd be okay if they never did remake FF7, I just want Versus 13 already =[[[

But making those was so much easier than remaking the game everyone's been demanding for years!

You totally should look into Steam. It's...kind of hard to describe, but basically - you download Steam, which is a client for you to play PC games on - games you can buy directly through Steam for very nice prices. They have sales frequently, too.

i've been playing cs on steam, on my laptop i5, it says it uses 95% of one of my cpus. how do i get the other cpus to work. i went to control alt delete. hl.exe set affirmity cpu0 cpu1 cpu2 cpu3 cpu4. still didn't change anything. it runs slower than my pentium 3 desktop...

That's really weird. Counter Strike is an old game and I've never had any problems running most games through Steam. Have you checked that your anti-virus software has Steam as an exception? That could be slowing it down.

CS 1.6 doesn't have multicore threading I think, since it is pretty old. When you say slower, what framerates is it running at?

it could be my anti virus. im using nortons atm (free trial for 60 days...lol). i have an awesome config and internet is pretty godly. when im playing norton pops up saying 95 percent usage of a cpu.



since cs doesn't have multi core threading...does that mean it'll be like that...i even lowered -dx to 81 in launch options which made it a bit better but ya'know i wouldl love some graphics on an old game lol...
