So after a search of the board, and some really misleading topic titles I still have no idea what a NP generator is. What are they and how do they work? I'm pretty new to all this "cheating" jazz. ^_^;

    A NP generator, by the technical definition, hasn't existed (to my knowledge) in over 5 years. They just create neopoints by exploiting a hole. But modern day generators would do something along the line of easy ways to collect neopoints. They are extremely dangerous if they are real.

    Also, most new ones are ad clickers, and generate maybe 100k a day.

    Ah, cool, thanks! All this mention of NP generators was confusing me.

    Back in 02 I made (to my knowledge) the FIRST working NP generator, using an exploit in grundo's gym.

    We noticed that after visiting a certain page in the gym and visiting the next page in sequence, NP was added to your account (for completing the task)... Human beings at the time would have just hit "Complete" or whatever the button was to leave that section of the gym and start another training session (limited to like 20-30 per day)... but we realized if you never completed that transaction, you could literally hit back + refresh 24/7 and generate 40-50NP per round.

    We made a program, as simple as it is (yet genius), navigated X amount of web browsers (depending on a user-selected setting based on internet connection) to visit these pages back and forth, and would literally generate 400,000+ per HOUR.

    This program was a TRUE NP Generator, as it exploited the extreme lack in security back in the old days of neopets, and used it to our advantage to literally just generate NP while running.

    Was called "Dark NP Gen"... I THINK my name back then was either Meth44Sniper or something with Grunlde? Not sure, I was like 11-12 years old :p

    Any of those ad clicker NP gen out there that goes for 100k a day?!
    I'm in need of one of those, and the other one on the site seems to be broken?

    soul is right, the program itself is good, but neopets is broken. maybe it's some sort of plot interference

    No. The ad clickers haven't been working for like 6+ months... so I don't know where you got the idea that it is due to the Plot. It's not like a Plot would have anything to do with ads on the site anyways...

    Before this current plot, the links were down due to the Altador Cup, so it is a plausible THEORY that whenever there is an event on the site, the links do not award points.

    No, I would say it is a theory.

    Especially since the full term would be "conspiracy theory". If you said it was a conspiracy, that would imply that it was true.

    Well, I don't think it really matters anyway. It still doesn't work. I was just throwing out an idea. Maybe we should make a topic on thoughts about why they aren't working.
