    All programs have a risk.
Generally, all program's risk increases linearly with amount of time used continuously.
A program that automates something that a human would normally do would be one of those programs whose risk increases.
However, considering you can't train more than once every X hours, you're fine.

    Well, it really depends.

If you're online for like the whole day - training every two hours, that should tip them off.
I figure it's one of the easier ways to catch somebody cheating - how much they can auto train.

if you start showing online patterns when you would usually be asleep, i think it may throw up a red flag. i mean think about it, would you, as a normally functioning human being, be up to train your digital pet (or any pet for that matter, real or otherwise) at 4am every day? i would say it should be fairly safe to leave it on all day while you would be normally awake. that should give it a good 12 hour run at the least. my upper limit suggestion would be 16 hour runs.

I have never heard of anyone getting frozen from running the autotrainer 24/7 and I have been running it 24/7 for a while and haven't been frozen so the chances you get frozen for it are next to none.

While this may be true in your case, I do not think this is indicative of everybody else.

Also, I don't think its running the auto trainer for forever that gets you frozen but running that in addition to the various other programs which might get you frozen.
So you can get on ever 4 hours or so to train your pet, but can you do that in addition to refreshing at the pound every 5 seconds for 5 hours of a day, AB for an hour or two a day, play those games you put on your autoplayer and etc, etc.

I guess what it boils down to is how often you do things, if you're going to end up looking like you spend 12-16 hours on neopets (or some obscene number of hours) a day refreshing constantly every 5 seconds, your probably going to get iced and the autotrainer is definitely going to help get you to that point.

With that being said, I'm pretty sure TNT isn't looking for accounts that train as soon as their time is up at the mystery island training school (that's a bit ridiculous) but this can get you iced.

I have NEVER heard of someone getting iced for using the autotrainer, period.

If you mean running an ABer and autotrainer at the same time, I do it all the time. All the autotrainer does is it goes on for about a minute to complete the course, buy codestones, then start the next course and during the waiting time in between courses it's running on an internal timer I believe, it doesn't actually appear as if you're on neopets for more than a minute every 4 hours or however long your courses take.

How plausible is it throughout the whole day, you get on neopets the exact moment your training course ends to start a new one?
And at the speed your autotrainer works, in less then 2 minutes from the last course ending - you're already enrolled in a new one.

If you say it's plausible, think about when you sleep. Do you think that any normal person will wake up every 4 hours train right before their course ends - get on the computer, enroll them into a course and then head back to bed?

I'm not saying you will get frozen for using the autotrainer, in all honesty - you probably wont as it doesn't affect other users really and doesn't have much of a ban rate, BUT i'm saying take caution in using it as you CAN get banned.

You not having heard of anybody getting banned from it doesn't mean there aren't. There are many people getting banned for things you've never even heard of. Again TAKE CAUTION in the programs you use. Excessive use may not get you iced today but it will someday.

I understand that no person gets up in the middle of the night to check their training course, but I'm still unconvinced that anyone would get banned using an autotrainer.

What about running Cliffhanger autoplayer for a couple of hours? I'm guessing ANYTHING will look unnatural if it goes on too long.. But then I would pretty much spend sleepless nights playing online games.. TNT can't tell for sure unless it's glaringly obvious is my opinion.

Personally.. I think anyone's limit for cliffhanger would be an hour max? Thats just me though, and I have very little patience.

Like really, sitting infront of the comp for like 4hours in a row keying in hangman answers in hopes of raising your pet's intelligence? Sleep sounds waaay better >_>

Cliffhanger is different since it's constantly playing while with the autotrainer it goes on for about 2 minutes or so every 2-8 hours.
