No, there is no program (at least one that is open to the public) that checks the Smuggler's Cove. Plus the Smuggler's Cove doesn't restock as of now. I heard that if there is going to be items there - then it's going to show up in the news or something before the items actually get there.

Doesn't smuggler's cove ban pretty easily? Not sure if they could do a program for it...and like turtleboy said, news is probably the biggest hint about when it will restock.

I heard you can only refresh about once an hour and you get shop banned from there... maybe its false, but there are currently no items restocking there.

When was the last time the Cove even got a new item? No point in checking if it's never gonna restock.

The coves last item was Grapes of Wrath, which came out November of 09'. Most users are banned after 1 visit but it's possible to go more than once without being banned. When banned, it takes an hour (I believe) to become unbanned. You pay for the item in dubloons, not neopoints. Having a program for this isn't probable (sp?) in my opinion.

GoW was that long ago? Wow. Doesn't feel like that.

So how did people buy it again?
    I know you need dubloons
but do you HAVE to have like exact change?

No, you get change if your coins are too high a denomination.

will anyone be able to garner a profit from this?
I know that dubloons are cheaper as denominations go up otherwise people would just plug them into the dubloon-o-matic

Would you be able to buy the cheapest thing on kwark island with a 100 dubloon coin and get a load of coins back in change?

How often are you even allowed to check the cove? The chances of getting it when an item is released is impossible since you can check like once every 30 minutes or so.

it's really not likely you will make a profit from making change lol. you will make your profit in buying the cove items as even if they are useless items, their price goes WAY up as there are cove collectors and in general they are rare.
grapes of wrath was such a huge item from cove, its worth like 350+ mill now
suap is probably the most famous cove item and if any are even sold they are in the range of 2+ billion.

yeah you get shop banned extremely fast, not sure of the exact timing, but people have created dozens of accounts in the past, loaded with dubloons, just to try and snipe a cove item when they did restock

not sure if anyone can verify but since there are only limited number of each cove item in neopia at a time, i think after a user gets frozen/disabled the item is lost forever and so far i dont think the cove has restocked those lost items. so theoretically, cove items will be impossible to track as they might gradually disappear.

Honestly, if you purchased ANYTHING from the smuggler's cove - you would've already garnished a huge profit.

The last thing to worry about is the "profit" you would've made from getting the change back. However, it does something along the lines of "they're pirates so don't expect all of your change back" and I figure that's part of it. I'm not exactly sure how it works since I never got anything but I would assume if you used 5 100 dubloon coins to pay for a 420 dubloon item - you wouldn't get 80 dubloons back.

Ohs i wasnt talking bout smugglers cove
I assume that if you were to buy from smugglers cove you wouldn't care for the petty cash anyway.

I was taking about teh kwark island shops. All of them pretty much require dubloons.

When the smuggler's cove does restock, anyone have any idea on the quantity of the item they restock? o:

"Only one hundred and twenty of any Cove item can exist at once, so there are barely any of them available and the prices are astronomical."

From jellyneo. A few sites does say 100 but honestly, not much differences.

hmm, i think barophobia meant how many items restock at any one possible one time at the cove, and not exactly how many can exist at any one time. =)

correct me if i interpreted it wrongly tho.

Yea I meant what chronosxii interpreted, sorry if i wasn't being clear :p

And 1. wow. I was picturing along the lines of.......80 or something. Considering how they don't restock very often...

man, that probably is the reason why the cove items are so insanely priced. along with the fact that only 120 can exist.

Generally one. But in rare cases when a rarer item gets lost either by a frozen account or discarding, I'm pretty sure there was a discussion on the BD Chat about it stocking two items a while back.

i'm not sure about this. im quite sure that i read somewhere in an editorial that if an account with a cove item is frozen, it is lost forever. and will not be replaced by another in the cove.

Ahh, thats interesting to know. Does that mean that theres a possibility of the old items restocking at the smugglers cove as well?
