Many people believe that crime is a product of poverty and lack of "advantages." However, the District of Columbia, which enjoys the highest average annual salaries and is second only to Alaska in personal income per capita, leads the nation in just about every category of crime including murder, robbery, aggravated assault, and vehicle theft. D.C. also has the country's strictest gun control, highest police costs per capita, highest ration of police and correctional officers per citizen, and highest rate of incarceration. Its permanent population is over 80% Black. West Virginia, which has the nation's lowest crime rate, suffers from chronic poverty and has the highest unemployment in the U.S. It also has the fewest police per capita. West Virginia is over 96% White.

Why the hell would you use such a shitty example?

This is like using Vatican City as an example when talking about Countries.

Small sample size = unreliable statistics.

    District Population
    DC 599,657
    AK 698,473
    WV 1,819,777

    cite yo sources

I wouldn't be that worried about misleading statistics if I were you.

Comparing almost purely rural areas to almost purely urban areas is logical malpractice.

But I guess you're right. If you're going to quote shitty stats, might as well do it correctly.

It's the blackest locale in America. Tell me a state with comparable African-American percentages and I'd use it instead.

Really some sources would be nice..

Because according to the U.S. Census Bureau,in 2007, Affrican Americans were only 56% and whites 35%...The only time it has been close to 80% was in the 70s..US Census

By the mid-2000s, crime rates in Washington dropped to their lowest levels in over 20 years...And DC has hardly the highest average annual salaries..In 2008 it was Maryland and second was New Jersey...so yea..

Best not to go to Stormfront for your sources.

The District of Columbia is ~55% Black actually, quite a big discrepancy between that number and what you claimed.

And it's definitely not the locality with the higher proportion of Black people in America so you're wrong again on that.

    Second highest average salaries: http://www.census.go...les/08s0659.pdf

    Comparatively.

Baltimore is 63% black, Detroit 82%, and DC 55% in the city itself (the suburbs are where many of the poor blacks moved to following Gentrification in the 2000s)

I'll find the rest of the info later, mkay? It takes a while to load PDFs.
