new mmorpg coming out called loong: the power of the dragon. offically gets released tis wednesday. im going to be trying it out!!!

I played for about 7 months. Went +300 wins over losses in normal (I think I stopped at about 400-100) and my team won probably a total of $500 in loot at best. I will probably never go back to that game. Unless you have four friends you can trust to be competent every single game with 90% of champions, you will have a shit experience. The community is terrible. There is no set group of people that are better than others, just those that have common sense and those that lack it. The whole appeal of it being a free game is garbage, as the game goes down frequently for long periods of time. Fundamental flaws in the game stay there because the programmers are working with a glorified version of flash. Riot is more concerned with releasing champions and balancing those new champions to the current "metagame" than they are to balancing the game as a whole.

If you are looking for arena/moba games, I cannot recommend enough one of the ones I have yet to play:
-Dota
-HoN
-Wait for Valve Dota
-Wait for Blizzard Dota 2

Awesome. I'm waiting for Valve Dota as well. Tried LoL and didnt really like it. Kinda joined because i heard it was by guinsoo though. Didn't really live up to my expectations, and the hero names were also just.....weird (com'on, pandamonium?).

Got back in to WoW. It's pretty fun thus far, but I don't forsee me going back to raiding/PvP'ing hardcore like before. I'll be one of those casuals decked in green!

Oh, right, my bad. Got the both of them messed up, silly me. LoL is the one with Vladimir, I love that hero, but i wasn't all that interested enough in the new mechanics to learn the game properly, though i liked the idea of the brush terrain. Actually, typing this just makes me feel like playing another game or two before i delete the client off my comp

Technically Bliz's take on the DotA genre is going to be their own iteration (kind of like HoN). DotA 2 is gonna be an actual successor to DotA and will be on Valve's Source engine.

I'm mostly a casual gamer, but the games I usually come back to are Ragnarok servers, Flyff pservers (the officials are crap.), Audition, stuff like that.
I played Kitsu Saga for a bit when it first came out but got bored of it pretty fast.

I'm not playing any mmos atm though. Just been playing sims 3 and watching anime to pass time.

I played DotA for a while and got addicted to it. Then a friend told me to play WoW, so I was on WoW for a month, years ago. I couldn't see myself paying that monthly fee, so really I just "tried" it out and never really got to enjoy it. I loved it whenever I was on, but the internet speeds out here suck monkey balls and the frequent lags were a b.... so back to DotA I went. I also play/ed Cabal, which really... I think is just a rip off of WoW. Which is why I never played it for long. I played it for a couple of months when episode 2 was out. And then I stopped when HoN came along. For whatever reason, I started playing Cabal again when episode 4 came out. I'm assuming that characters/users weren't reset/purged; I had to start over with a new character 'cause I forgot which version (NA, Euro, Phil, etc.) of the game it was that we played at the internet shop. So now I'm back to HoN. Sigh.

I feel ya.

I'd spend like 25k cash every month cause the damn set would expire, and that was just the looks. When they introduced the x2 meso and x2 exp cards...those items were the ones that really hurt my pocket.

God, even paying for RO was cheaper back then.

The download is free from their site and patches automatically every two weeks or so.

If you ever played DoTA/HoN and loved them, you probably won't like it for the lack of complexity. If you're new to MOBAs, then it could be pretty fun.

I play DoTa on a frequent basis, so I doubt I'll even give it a try then..

Sometime this year. They're being really ambiguous about it, but they promised us it would be out in 2011. Ah. Just googled it, the official statement is November 2nd, 2011.

Hmm I played Ragnarok, but I started Lineage2 a couple of years ago. Still enjoying it, but mostly cause of the people in it ^^
