Just invest in retired BD items.
They will surely inflate and are not so HTS at all
(unless that it happens something strange like when TNT released the 9 Pound Coconut and a efw months later Kelpbeards Trident xD, but maybe that was TNT trolling the ones with that coconut weapon)

And you get to play freely with these weapons that are also nice investments.

Not an investing factor, but an sellability factor.

Whenever someone wants to sell a Ghostkersword, he/she can sell it at a decent prize the same day.
If someone is trying to sell an Sword Of The Air Faerie, it would take a longer time.

And I can imagine that the better the investment is, the sooner it inflates because of demand.

FQD is nice because it's an avatar item, but it's not a weapon at all. Avatar items are also very nice as investments.

I agree with you that selling Sword Of The Air Faerie would take a longer time.as the demand is not as much as g-sword

FQD doesn't disappear though. Stamp avatar items are better investments. Someone could just have the FQD and then resell it right? Would take a long time for the price to rise.

FQD is not a one-use item though and it has been around for quite awhile. Not sure how many are on the market right now.

HT useful weapons are nice, RoTL is also quite a popular BD item.

The new lazy sword would also be a great investment. As there is no other item close to like it.

You have quite a few years before Sword of Lameness would be retired. I expect it to be in there for at least another 5-6 years before retirement.

I don't often invest long term for the sole reason that something might retire. . . however last year when y11 usuki brushes were selling quite commonly around 5k, i bought about 20 and just threw them in my SBD knowing they would retire and that they weren't a very common goodie bag prize.

I have around 12 left priced at 20k each, small but worth it investment.

I've invested in LOTS of cheap stamps and clothing items that aren't wearable yet. GREAT investment right there, clothes are ETS. From past examples they won't increase but 15-20k, but hey, if you bought 100 for 500np or so each that's a great investment. I've only invested in clothes that I'm pretty darn sure will be made wearable, but I could be wrong.

Wearables seems like a true gamble. I wouldn't call it a safe gamble at that either, considering that unretired/101 clothes will always be plentiful :(.

I just bought 50 copies of GCFYP in anticipation for August. If they don't re-release the avatar, I might lose big. Luckily, I'm gonna be selling a month early when the price doubles/triples in anticipation. Small gain, but whatever.

Not a very good idea at all.
Most of those items were released in massive amounts.
However maybe the hardest to get prizes of some events are a nice idea.
For example, the neopets TCG card items have inflated insanely (especially the ones that have a real use like the MSSP TCG and the BD weapons).

Old plot prizes are great if he can find the obscure high-rewards. Otherwise they end up being scarab rings. And yeah TCG's are on the biggest rise ever.
