Yup. I use d2jsp when I played Diablo II. Honestly I ran 3 bots for about 8hrs a day and in 1 week I found an item worth 10k forum gold on the site (about $300) . Next week I found an Item worth 3k (another $100). You can use the forum gold across multiple games or sell it for cash (selling for real life $ is against the rules and you can potentially get all of your gold locked). They even have a Neopets sub forum in case you can't find buyers on here or want to basically trade your NP for FG that you can trade to purchase something for a different game or real life items. Twas and still is easy money.

Yep, I have 9k fg on that site right now. My fg buyer owes me 100 dollars sadly and has not paid me back in like a year. Hopefully he'll pay me eventually, otherwise he's not getting anymore fg from me :p

I never made that much fg on d2jsp -> most I ever had was around 5k.

But i will be using the forum more when D3 starts up.. I think there will be tons of opportunity to make fg with the new D3 economy.

All they have to do is make an impressive captcha inside the game when someone is creating a game and that will get rid of the botters.

WoW would seem like it's the easiest to make money from. There are some safe bots out there (I've used some to honor farm quite extensively) but if you really know how to play the auction house, your potential is limitless. A friend of mine refined his technique to the point where he logs in a few times a week on his strict gold making characters, plays for about 3 hours tops on those characters a week and can pull 40k average. With the new expansion it doesn't seem like much but back then, that's a fuck ton. I use to trade people 2000 gold for 60 day gamecards (worth $30).

Try MapleStory, made more than 2k from that game, until I finally quit.
Runescape was a good botting game too, made around 1-1.5k with it, though it finally got boring. (Was able to bot 10+ accounts at a same time LOL)
WoW was okay to bot with in the beginning, but I'd keep away, didn't make too much with it.
Dofus is a game i played for a LONG time, it's a 2d cartoonish european game. Loved it, botted on it a lot and made like 300 dollars from it.

So, basically, there are heaps of games people are willing to buy stuff, just look around for games you would see yourself enjoying, and find a bot or some sort of cheat for it. Or make one yourself.

Obviously I know about neo. What other online games should I look into for making some money on the side? ONLY looking for games which programs are available for. If this isn't allowed or someone doesn't want to post in public, please feel free to PM me. Thanks!

Don't people make money off of Subeta as well?

Wow 2k on MapleStory?? I'm impressed. Is it pretty much run the bot, collect money, sell? Or do I actually have to understand the game? I played Maple for a while and was like level 30, but I didn't really "get it." I just kind of killed time with it lol

Maplestory is easy! I sold a few billion meso for serious money back in my day xD
Price you get depends on the server you play in that game though lol. You also need to level up a character decently high to be able to farm....

Well botting isn't just for gold XD Most bots are vac hacks, with item and gold collection as well. At least from what I remember.

Most of the time there are about ten people waiting to undercut your prices. Because end game, mesos aren't worth as much as the items that they can buy. Some items, you can't buy... those helmets come to mind.

Yeah I guess so. I relied on making money in Maple from doing boss runs and selling the gear/skills that dropped and getting splits. It wasn't too bad... We'd run twice a day and get 50mil splits or so each time :p
    It adds up !

how about raknorak online? i played it long ago and have lots of bots to farm gold and items from quest.. not sure how popular it is now..

This is a good way to make money if you start your own private server. If you do it right with a good setup you can have constant income every month from donations and in-game item purchases.
The only thing you have to worry about are controlling the in-game economy due to bots aka openkore.

There is also the upcoming diablo 3, I made some decent money off diablo 2 thanks to the d2jsp forums.

    What Homer said.

Running your own server's a little tough though. I had one server before, but it was just me and my school friends playing, plus two hobos from the phillipines or something (srsly they were such douches.) because we couldn't get advertising and that my server didn't have a lot of customs to want to make people stay. Over time the server just crumbled and I lost interest (My server comp was also taking a toll on itself :p).

Ok that wasn't the best example. If you look at the other large pServers however, you'd see that most offer donation items and have about 2000+ people playing. Imagine if 1/10 of them made a $10 donation every month

Though if you've never played Ragnarok Online before............ Too much trouble to start investing your time in it. Earning through runescape is a better option :)

MapleStory was FAR too easy :p

The generic Botting,Selling Loot takes too long. It was all in the FMs ;)

Well, helping people think about money and productivity might be beneficial.
And it's not that play cannot make someone more productive at other times by refreshing him.
But if this is how we are trying to "get rich," then thinking about how that will work on a corporate/societal level, it doesn't make any sense.

Indeed, Kyle. It's probably fairly obvious that anyone with a small number of posts, posting to topics like this, is simply trying to get some more status :). But I did mean it about the money thing. Maybe not so much about the cheating thing. But it's easy to just pile on snippy remarks to sound reason.

Baha, Gold farming! I use to be way into this stuff.

I farmed Habbo.com for a while and wouldn't really recommend it. I've heard a lot about Maplestory botting.. and it seems people on the forum have had success with it. Good luck!

eslim, this is just capitalism at work. There is demand for converting money into gaming currency, so people are bound to try to fill this niche. Making money from online games is in fact rather similar to certain forms of market speculation.

Didn't South Korea pass a law where gaming currency is treated like real currency? I'm too lazy to dig up the source but I'm sure it was mentioned Yahoo news at some point in the "odd news" section next to the
Thailand man dies on toilet after gaming for 3 straight days and underneath Korean couple arrested for child negligence over WOW. The world is so funny sometimes .
