I seem to be having some trouble with Abrosia but I really hope it's just me doing something wrong. >.> I'm not really sure this is a tech issue or error thing, but if this is in the wrong section, forgive me.

The amount of items it has been purchasing seems to be decreasing. When I first started using it, I might get 20-30ish items in a 1-2 hour session. I had not set the settings very aggressively, but I was pretty pleased with that . Now I am getting much much less.

I've been running it about 4-6 hours a day in 1-2 hour intervals. It did get about 5 things yesterday but Monday I believe I got less than that. So far today I have gotten one item in 4 hours. I have run it during peak times and off peak times. I have lowered the wait delay, the pre-haggle and the OCR (not dangerously low, but enough that I thought it would catch stuff) but I'm not even getting misses. I have changed the "profit must be greater than" up and down but it doesn't seem to make any difference. It seems to be refreshing properly and it's not giving any errors. It is taking money from my Shop Till. I checked to make sure I wasn't RS banned and it just wasn't telling me, but it's all good there. I am shopping in shops that restock frequently.

Could this be just incredibly bad luck? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Possible problems:

1. Luck
2. Fewer people buying in the shop (fewer clears means fewer solid restocks)
3. More people buying in the shop (more competition means fewer restocks)
4. Lag

Some days I'll get 32 items, others I'll get 7.

Obviously there are countries that have slightly faster communication speeds, but I think that WHEN you AB is slightly more important than WHERE you AB... unless your speeds are ludicrously slow... but that's a whole 'nother matter.

Hmm. Perhaps its just a bad day today. Unable to get anything on my shell

Probably just the fact that there are just a lot of people abing and not enough people clearing stock Also remember abrosia isn't the only aber out there.

Probably there are not many people rsing and now they're just abing. I've had hard times abing recently too.

maybe have the program shop in all the stores n you might have better luck. i dont have the advanced options but im still making out alright ..usually 5 items an hr and at least one of those items being a high profit item

If you go to the site and check around, you'll notice that almost every shop is full of garbage items. If theres room for 2 items to stock and 10 people are ABing them... Well lets just say I don't like the odds there

Seren, what shop's (and how many) are you ABing at?

Some shops have ridiculously low restocks =p and maybe the number of shops you've selected are affecting your buy rates?

Yesterday I got 2 items after like 5-6 hours. I think it's mostly luck and timing

Huh. I'm not noticing any item loss. in fact I buy about 10 items per hour.

This week I missed out on about 1m in profit from last week and bought/missed less than half as many items as usual. My RSing is now about 12x as profitable as my ABing and takes half the time .

I wasn't so much complaining as I was expressing concern that it might be working incorrectly. For awhile I was getting nothing at all, which was very different from my typical results.

Well, ABing is about the most common thing on neopets these days. It just depends whos bot has a faster connection/is behind a proxy/refreshed the second after the stock happened. Abrosia is well and good, I wouldn't sweat a few off days.

Am using it with normal setting and looks like it works perfectly fine. last night i saw a super long list of misses in the book shop(easily 10-15 in a row)... which can only mean there's a spike in ABing since i normally would at least grab a few books at least..

What were the times of each one? If lots of them were in the same restocks, it was more than likely just a missed restock by a few seconds and you getting beaten by a second or two all the way through the stock.

What... 20-30 items in 1-2 hours?? I seem to get about 2-3 items in that time, I still make a decent money but surely 20-30 will make you a few mill?

I have been doing this for a while now, and I guarantee you if I charted out my average buys per month it would be a steady decrease each month.

At this point, I am having good 5 hour days net 1 5,000 NP profit item. It is rediclous.

I haven't netted a true UB in around 6 months. I used to struggle to sell my UBs due to lack of trading post space.

I cannot keep my shop stocked at this rate anymore. It isn't just a dry one or two days. A "good" day at this point is a day that brings in 4 items.

I think the only solution I have left is to schedule the thing to run for smaller amounts of time after midnight. It seems I can usually net 10 items per hour after midnight, and that is basically beating 1000 hours of normal hour time at this rate.

Supertag, you could always become an Advanced Member if your internet connection isn't good enough to buy things with an approx. 2000ms delay. It's not as if the cost is extortionate.

AB seems to work reasonaby well for me considering I haven't contributed money to neocodex's upkeep.
