I think we should start a sig of the week again to revive the gfx section! Posts here are a bit slow compared to the rest of the forums.

I am willing to give out prizes in Neopets for the best voted gfx piece every week; maybe it doesn't have to be a signature so there is more interest. Create anything artistic you want.

I don't use my NP for anything anyway so this will be awesome. What do you guys think?

I second this! I won't be participating as I'm not... artistically-inclined in the slightest, but I love to ogle other people's artistic works. @_@

I third this. Back in my old stomping grounds Sig of the Week got custom titles but NP prizes are equally good. I'd add to the NP prize pool too.

I support this idea. I've always wanted to dick around with GFX even if I'm not that good. I'm set on prizes though, so even if I win, I decline in advance :3

Yeah sounds good. Different themes each week will make it more interesting, and we can have freestyles for some weeks.

But yeah at the moment it seems like we can have some interest in this. Also I remember Neocodex used to display Sig of the Week on the front page of the forums; it was a good way to promote and receive interest in the GFX section. It was really fun and competitive

People lose interest if they have to wait a month for their stuff to be voted . It pretty much means people will be inactive for about 3 weeks of the month.

So yeah I really want to get this started! Any ideas for the prize? As for the first sig of the week, I think it'll be better to have a freestyle theme for the first one, so people can just show us what they are best at and more people will join in Valentine's day is tomorrow anyway

EDIT- How about the weeks winner has to pick the next weeks theme and is barred from entering? I think that would stop some people from constantly winning.

Haha! This is a good idea, i like the themed bit too.
And towards the prizes, it really sounds like you need a group of people to donate/help generate the prizes :3
But i'll keep my eye on this and see how it goes on, hope it goes well.

Sounds like a decent idea to me. I do like doing graphics every now and then. I like the 2 week idea, though. I'm in college so I only have to weekends to work on other things. Trying to do graphics and schoolwork would not work well for me.
