I like Facebook! I'll stick up for it. Must admit I don't use it a massive amount but now Uni's over and all of my friends have gone to different corners of the country it's a really nice platform to keep some of the old banter between the lot of us, make plans to meet up and that sort of thing. Plus I don't know about anyone else but status updates can often be funny, I certainly try to avoid posting the mundane, my updates are always somewhat random, most of the people I allow to pop up on my news feed are similar. I have had a coulpe of friends that drove me crazy with the stuff they were updating about but it would have been socially unacceptable to delete them (my manager, for instance) so thankfully Facebook these days has a pretty good way of filtering what people you have to see every time you click to Facebook!

Plus, most of you have ignored the stalking factor! So much fun. Checking up on people you haven't seen in years to see what's going on in their life; finding out the girl that bullied looks like a blimp and has popped out three children with no sign of a boyfriend, that sort of thing. Yes I'm cruel, but they were too .

Facebook is terrible. It gives every self-important retard a platform from which to broadcast their every thought and action - thus artificially reinforcing their self-important retard-ism.

Seriously, 99.9% of people don't give a shit what you ate for lunch today or what colour your new Justin Bieber Tshirt is.

I see so many people just go on facebook, and then get pissed off from something they see. I ask why they go on if it just pisses them off..and they have no response. In my mind I just say delete it and go on with life ahha

These days I only use facebook to keep track of all my events and shit. I hate that they have to change facebook every 2 week. So over all this new unnecessary shit they manage to come up with.

For example the relationship tracker. If someone goes into a relationship you can set an email notification for when they break up.

The people in my class have the Facebook equivalent of verbal diarrhoea
They update their status bar every 5 minutes with the most mundane things.

I don't see the appeal in stalking other people's pages to bitch about them afterwards either -__-

i must be the only one who is addicted to FB. i play a shitload of games and got in touch with ppl from my graduating class 25 yrs ago. Farmville and Cityville are addicting and i spend a hell of alot more time playin those than neo rofl

Even though I have lots of 'friends' most of them are just acquaintances that I think may be useful to keep in touch with in the long term, of all my facebook friends, I'd only consider about 10% at most to be genuine friends who I can rely on in troubled times

My last post was a bit single minded, but in reality i just have no desire to keep in contact with people on facebook. If i wanted to talk to them, i'd do it via cell phone.
