Ok, I am a pretty good legit restocker. I also use the AB'er from time to time when I don't "feel" like it. So, when I'm rsing legitimately, I refresh around every 1.5 seconds (clicking an item after you hit refresh brings you to the haggle page faster). So I've heard from several sources that you shouldn't set an AB'er faster than 4-5 seconds between refresh. I would just like to say this is crap. If you set it to 0-1, obviously you'll get iced very quickly. But a refresh rate of 3, or even 2 seconds will get you much nicer items, and you have the same chance of getting iced. + if you agree (I want duh rep :D) Comments?

Before my internet turned to complete shit, I use to RS a lot. and yeah every 1.5 to 2 seconds sounds about right. So it is dumb to think you will get iced for setting it to 4-5 seconds.

I'm personally laughing my ass off at this.

I don't THINK that you'll get iced, I KNOW that you will get iced.
Plenty of people have posted on the forums with their settings before they are banned.
Most of them had refresh rates over 4 seconds.

Remember, Neocodex does have a search button.
Wait, does this mean you get negative rep if someone disagrees? :D

Did I say you CAN'T get iced by using a rate of ~2? No. There's always a chance. Most of the people who get iced for refresh rates of over 5 are idiots that did what a human would not do. That's their own fault, not the refresh rate. You'll get richer, faster, with just the same chance of icing if you INTELLIGENTLY use a rate of ~2 seconds. That's the point.
EDIT: See what I did there?

I'm sure you can get iced using a refresh rate of 20 seconds...just because your refresh rate is higher than other peoples', does not mean you're using it in a smarter way than others. I'm sure you have a better chance of getting banned if you leave it on for 6 hours straight with a refresh rate of 8 seconds than if you leave it on for 2 hours with a refresh rate of 2 seconds.

I agree with Junsu, and im laughin wit you mate xD refresh rates arent to dependent on anything since it isnt really tracked xD but if yoru other settings are fucked and you get a item in like 900 ms or something then i think that yes they will definetly also look at the refresh rates xD (then again i havent used abrosia or anything in about a month and a bit now)

    Erm no.
You have a lower chance of getting banned if you leave it on for 6 hours straight with a refresh rate of 8 seconds.

lol what's more realistic...someone sitting there for 2 hours constantly refreshing...which if i really wanted to i would do. or someone sitting there for 6 hours refreshing every 8 seconds...i could not sit there for 6 hours restocking haha

You obviously, after I recommended you, did not search up anything.
From what I got from the boards, TNT checks you when you have a low refresh rate, not a long time ABing.

    not a long time ABing.

They also check when you get a bunch of rare items in a short amount of time. The longer you AB, the more likely this is to happen.

Also autobuying a longer time doesnt really increase these chances of abuying rare items such as ub's. cus often there is more abuyers doing the same and even legit restockers, and its not to much of a problem, i few of my friends spend 18-20 hours on and off on neopets legit restockiing and some days they even get 10+ in there shops they restock in, my cousin also runs several accounts on random times and often he will run them for 6-7 hours straight at 9-12 second refresh rates... when one account finishes another starts...

Right, so basically you're proving yourself wrong.
2sec at 2hr = lots of rare items in a short time.

Honestly, Junsu, from all my reading, refresh rate isn't a big deal since legit restockers often refresh fast. What a faster refresh rate does is get you RS banned more quickly. The main factors in getting iced for AB'ing are (in order of priority): (1) speed of buy times (2) number of UBs bought (3) amount of time spent continually restocking. Having a refresh rate of 1-2s is normal, especially in the igloo where you cannot get RS banned but are limited to 10 items/day.

If your buy times are regularly in the 1500ms or less range, you should hope that you don't get any unbuyables.
If you're getting unbuyables, then you better hope that you haven't done any continual autobuying for more than a couple hours in a stretch recently (humans have to stop restocking to go to the bathroom)

    etc.

Yeah I still say refresh rate is one the last factors they take into account when deciding if it should be a ban...especially since humans can easily refresh once every 2 seconds lol.

    ^LOOOOOLLL

Yessir! Buy times is what they look at. That's it. I could refresh at 0.0-0.1 while setting my buy times higher and never getting items, am I to get banned? :p Though I still prefer higher refresh rates while ABing to avoid getting banned, as I do it over long periods of time

Weel, I agree with all this people. If you don't set Abrosia with a higher time you'll get frozen very soon, if you're not frozen already.
I didn't try this, but try using that settings you use just for an hour and then change them to 8 sec. and use them for 6 hours. You maybe can get something on that hour, and you'll get something during that 6 hours too, despite that thing is that profitable than others.

imo you just have to look it like human...make breaks and make breaks with different times....refresh rates between 1-3 secs should be fine until u get rs ban...that happens legit the same way and is no problem :)
