From now on.
Every time I drive anywhere I'll keep track of every red light I see and when it is turned red, and for how long.

thus being able to create a chart of when exactly the lights turn red and figuring out some sort of red light pattern

with this information i will be able to calculate the exact timing that I can leave my house (or any other destination that I have recorded this information for as well)and hit NO RED LIGHTS WHATSOEVER.

I will never have to drive through a red light again and I'll be a fucking boss who has cheated the system.

Well, If I'm not mistaken by your "cool story" you told back in a thread I read.
You said you live in a "rich" urban community.
Rich urban communities usually consist of traffic lights that are motion censored.
And I find it hard to believe that all the traffic lights in which you'll be transporting through will be time sensitive Posted Image
Fail plan, just leave early; this should be moved to chit-chat.

I want to say only some places they do have them.. but I could be wrong. Here they do. It's a device that sits right where those old car-telephone things used to sit (forget if that area is called anything) but yeah.. My uncle's a cop so I've seen one. :) They aren't in all of them though, just the kinds where they bring out in a high-speed chase

Yeah, sometimes I feel as if I hit red lights often only when I really need to be somewhere.
Second note, it really depends what time you're leaving also because where I live the traffic lights are time sensitive in the morning and motion during the afternoon and night time.
Plus you have to consider the amount of traffic if any.

Probably. But I've been driving so much I already know which lights are worth waiting out and which are worth finding a round-about way when red/avoiding altogether.

Even if all of the lights are timed lights, you are forgetting about variations in traffic volume... not to mention some cities have lights set to run at different paces during different times of the day and even on different days of the week! There used to be a good deal of thought and science put into timing lights before these sensor lights came out.

Also, most metropolitan places do have lights that will respond to those police/ambulance light changers... You can wire one up with a little knowledge about how the work and some basics of electronics. (Though INCREDIBLY illegal.)

Most cops, as well as all emergency vehicles, except for in small townes without the need. Can change their lights as needed. How stupid would it be for an ambulance to have to wait 5 minutes on a red light? Just like you have to move out of the way so they can get through, they also have the power to change the lights as needed.

That, and most of the time, when I go out, it feels if I hit just one red light, that's it. BOOM. ALL of the lights decide to change to red. It's like when you're trying to cross the road. There either isn't traffic, or ten minute's worth of it. It's the rule of life to hit every single red light if you're in a rush.

I know for a fact that they don't run them in Oklahoma except for very small towns (Which given that its country....yeah). The bigger places like Dell, or Oklahoma City, or Chickasaw all have the ability to change lights.

not 100% sure if this has been said already but...

Your plan will undoubtfully NEVER work as you will occasionally if not often, get stuck behind a driver or two that drives too slowly for you to get your timing in right. Thus since you can't predict OTHER drivers and how fast they will drive.. it will be hard to predict EXACTLY when to leave in order to beat the redlights.

However, in an IDEAL situation where you are the only driver on the road.. then you might succeed.. if your lucky..
