I suppose I should clarify; You don't get drug tested at the interview, but as a condition of hiring, you are normal required to completed a drug screening. If they do decide to hire you, they usually make you take a drug test within like 2 days of their offer. (Which can often be the day of your interview.) Thus, it is crucial to be able to pass a drug test at the time of an interview for most jobs in the United States.

Like someone mentioned, not in the interview but before actually starting the job a lot of places here will drug test you. One of the jobs is working around (but not directly with) kids, so that job will definitely drug test if I get hired. The other might not, but when I got my first job they literally hired me on the spot at my interview and sent me to the lab to get tested that same day so I'd rather be clean on interview day than be sorry.

@Abradix, one of these jobs is important enough to me that I don't mind taking a 2 week tolerance break and detoxing. The other is just a backup in case I don't get the one I want, but since they're scheduled so close together I'll wait until after the second interview to start smoking again. Plus I convinced all my friends to celebrate 420 again with me on Cinco de Mayo, haha.

420 was totally lost on me. Other than it being hitler's bday I didn't really care it was weed day because heck I'm not even old enough to smoke weed On a random note it was my principle's b-day that day...which was odd....rumor has it he's the reincarnation of hitler and weed....o.0

something to do with napoleon? =/

The only american holidays i know of are Independance day, martin luther king day and thanksgiving. (not including the universal holidays like christmas, easter etc..)
