I'm not sure why you thought calling me a skank and saying "but tet is [a whore] for certain" is in any way joking or appropriate to someone you really don't know well at all. I don't know why joking about me sleeping outside my marriage, something that I hold very sacred, with Brad is appropriate. I don't understand why this is the same old attitude because I would expect just about any woman to be offended, hurt, and react in the same way. It's not personal with you. I would react the same way with anyone who called me that or accused me of the same thing.

Don't act like that's innocent because it's not. Oh, I fully accept that. I'm fine with that since most of you probably don't actually believe that women should be chained to the stove making sammiches and pie. It's when you get personal and are misogynistic against a certain person for doing something that they couldn't possibly understand is when it crosses the line. Again, I don't care if it was Noit, my best friend, or just some random person that I don't know. I don't tolerate that being said about me from anyone and I will stand up for myself.

We're not going anywhere though. We will see an eighth anniversary, and we will see a ninth, and a tenth. Even if we are forced to stop what we're doing, we would likely keep the neocodex.us domain here for people just to talk and keep our internet "home" up.

It would be a sad day, but at least we know that if we need help keeping the servers running, we can always raise funds by selling the yacht.

This thread bothers me. Because I kind of agree with Jake. That totally bothers me. I don't know how I'll make it through the day.
But mostly I'm bothered because someone was suspended a few days ago for making racist and homophobic comments that offended people. And Sonic was banned for taking continuous personal jabs at iargue. I don't question that those decisions were the right ones. No one should have to feel like they're being personally gunned for.

In this case, someone felt PERSONALLY attacked because she was called a skank for the end of an actual relationship, which is none of our business, and I feel she has every right to be offended, even if Noit meant no harm. But instead of an apology, she basically gets "I see you're a bitch like you've always been."

Now, what's the deal? Are personal attacks acceptable or not? Clearly she was offended, and took it personally. Or is it only a big deal when special people are offended?

You only kind of agree with me so it's not ALL that bad! I know she wasn't serious as she said she's sure most aren't but I just wanted to make a point in saying that those are the only type who say that. The things involving iargue are pointless. It's a simple case of displaying power. I'm not saying Derriere was right, in fact the shit he is doing is easily ban/suspend worthy but the way argue is dealing with it is wrong. It's not a non issue I was offended and still am offended at the fact that you think I'm the only one that would be. You still think that you're completely innocent yet you called me things that were completely offensive. You tried to cover it up by saying you thought we were friends. If you even knew me at ALL, you would know I would never appreciate that being said about or to me, especially not something so personal. You are the ONLY ONE that I'm aware of that has talked about me in public like that and I feel I am well within my rights to stand up for myself and I still will because you just aren't getting it.

This is not just something sexist, which is already against the rules of this forum, it's a personal attack. You could have just handled this with an apology, but no. You refuse to even do that.
