You spend a ton of NPs to make a size 1000 shop
Buy out items that were mostly ABed,throw it in your shop for a little higher and make profit?
Why do you even bother making such a large shop anyway?

Anyone knows how this works?

Malls are big enough to land them in the designated area of neo (central is size > 3600). They get little icons and shop descriptions on a page, that way noob neopians / faerie quests buy from them at inflated prices..

As far as I know its profitable, but probably not enough so that a 30mil+ investment is worthwhile (unless you are patient enough).

Just like in every other detail in Neopets you gotta do something "crazy" to achieve that "something", haha. All boils down to whether you'd fancy it as a personal "achievement" i guess. it'd be an achievement that reaps you income though. :p

Malls are pretty much scams to profit from noobs who don't know how to use the shop wizard.

Dont really know how they do it but malls are quite profitable. Ive invested about 5m on my shop upgrading and the shop made me about 3m profit. Ive also still got more than half my shop to sell just sitting there because the mall I was in is now dead and I dont have enough time to go find a new one and keep my shop stocked.

Wow, this is making me think about joining a mall xD
But honestly, its about how much you want to invest.

I just went to visit the Market Place in Neopia Central. I suppose those are the malls you are talking about?

Honestly, in my years of playing Neopets, I have never, ever, even thought about visiting these shops.

I just went to a few and looked at their prices and I'm like, "OMG, WHAT?" A bottle of send selling at 1,001 NPs. And they actually created a graphic to tell you "this sand + that sand = omg a brand new bottle of sand!". Poor newbies.

Credits to them though, they must have spent A LOT of time designing those banners. They are pretty nifty.

But Item Database @ Neocodex & Shop Wizard is really all that we ever need.

Its quite worth it if you have the time and money to invest. Just be ready to spend some time everyday to keep your shop stocked. Then again codex programs could do that for you :p I should consider reopening my shop!

Personally I think the investment (both in terms of time and money) is too great. I don't want to spend time each day maintaining and updating my shop prices.
