He's just barely three months old. The shelter he's being adopted through calls him Mischief. As we went to see Thor immediately after playing with kitties, I am leaning towards Loki.

Why are you so obsessed over a cat? It's a member of class Felinidae, it's not even human :v

Because human babies are scary little screaming aliens.

ahaha, i'm with you there.
I prefer puppies over kitties though, less fur floating around the house.
Loki seems like a good name. Good on you for adopting. =]
I'm adopting a dog soon as well.
Where are you planning on letting it sleep?

I'm partial to cats that will cuddle with me so once he's able to get up here, he'll be able to sleep in my bed. Until then, he'll get a kitty bed right next to it (if he doesn't turn out to like his crate/carrier just fine).

lol, are your parents fine with you having them sleep on your bed? Mine go nuts =p

Loki is a great name (; I dont see the problem with sharing your bed with cats. And you think he won't be able to get up on your bed, but when my boy was tiny, he'd climb up the sheets! ;P

Loki would be a great name, though lets hope he isn't inspired to follow his example and terminate alternate universes.
Be sure to get him vaccinated and make arrangements with the vet to get him neutered! Good luck, cats are a bundle of joy. I have 3.

all cats want to terminate alternate universes ;\, they are quite evil

I know. My cats have terminated my couch, obliterated my pillows, massacred the carpet and terrorized my plants. Yet they look so innocent when you catch them at it. Hahaha.

The shelter he's coming from already tested and vac'd him for feline leukemia and parasites and a few other things, and he's already neutered. Also, my roommate knows a vet that offers the first visit for a new adoptee for free.
Most of my previous cats tended to not look innocent. It was more of a "Yeah, and what are you gonna do about it?" or "I MEANT to do that!" look than innocent.

well you know what they say, cats think they own the human, or something like that.

They do train us to feed and water them whenever they get noisy.
