So, a LOT of movies are coming out this summer. What are you most excited to see?
Aside from of course the last HARRY POTTER(homg!!!) movie, what movie are you surprised they are doing a prequel/sequel for?
Which do you think will flop?

I'm a huge movie buff so yeah~

List of movies coming/already out that are prequels/sequels:
POTC: On Stranger TIdes
Kung Fu Panda 2
The Hangover Part II
X-men: First Class
Cars 2
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Final Destination 5 (ew)
Fright Night (remake)

crazy, right?
here's more worth mentioning:
Super 8 (!!)
Green Lantern
Winnie the Pooh
Captain America: The First Avenger (no he was not, argh)
Cowboys and Aliens
The Smurfs (lol no)
Conan the Barbarian

I know right?!
I'm personally excited to see Kung Fu Panda 2, X-men (sorta), Transformers, Apes, Super 8, and of course Harry Potter :p

So, thoughts? :D

POTC, The Hangover: Part II, Super 8 and Cowboys and Aliens should be good, not really bothered about any of the rest.

    What I'm looking forward to:
Kung Fu Panda 2 (an excuse to take a day off from work with my little brother and sister)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (watched part one, MUST watch part two even though I'm not into Harry Potter)
Final Destination 5 (My friends and I are looking forward to this comedy)

As you can tell, I'm not that really into watching movies.

    I'm really excited for X-men, Kung Fu, and HARRY FUCKING POTTER OF COURSE. i'll be there at 12 (;
I think a lot of them will flop though, some have nothing to make a sequel about.

    Green Lantern
Rise of the Planet of the Apes (maybe)

I've never watched the Hangover yet so no comment. Harry Potbelly fucking blows

They're actually making another Winnie the Pooh movie? Are they running out of ideas for films or what? o.0

X Men I have like 0 expectations for but I'm a comic fan so I'll see how it goes.

Green Lantern I'm really interested in and I'm praying they don't screw it up.

Kung Fu Panda I'll probably watch online just for the kicks.

Everything else I don't care and will probably never watch.....(not much of a movie person)....

You know what's a great film that's out now? Attack the Block. Not sure when it's being distributed in the US, though.

Of those listed, I'll probably be seeing Green Lantern and maybe Super 8. Possibly PotC 4.

Wait... you people are actually going to see Cowboys Vs. Aliens? That movie sounds so fucking stupid I couldn't even think of bringing myself to seeing it. Aliens who traveled here from millions and millions (more likely billions or trillions etc.) of miles away on super high technology fighting with men on horseback with revolvers? Yeah... because that seems like even a remotely decent fight... O_o

Hangover Part 2, Green Lantern, and Kung Fu Panda 2 will probably be good. I'm sure the HP movie will be fine, but I refuse to watch any more of the HP movies because I think they suck! The rest are either films I haven't heard enough about or that I think will be shit.

Just watched POTC last week. Was awesome, though quite a few people said that it was not detailed enough. I thought it was great.

    Must Watch:

    Kung Fu Panda 2
    Transformers: DOTM
    Green Lantern (Reynolds is Fiiiiinnneeee....)
    Captain America

I'm kinda meh over X-men: First Class. I still remember how disappointed i was when i saw them turn the Phoenix force into a hormonal imbalance/schitzo derranged concoction of a 12 year old girl. I hated, hated, HATED Halle Berry and whatever that Wolverine guy's name was, for ruining the movie and demanding more screen time. :S

Going to see POTC tommorrow night , so if anyone's seen it already and its really shit, do let me know so i dont waste my time.
On the other hand, Johnny Depp is in it, and i'd pretty much buy a movie ticket just to watch him walk up and down a hallway.

Watched it in 3D on Thursday with my new little lady. Johnny is hilarious, the banter is priceless, and you will never look at Mermaids the same way again. Waste your time and money with confidence. Posted Image

POTC: On Stranger Tides - Saw it, was rather let down. It was okay, but it felt rushed and like they were trying to do in one movie what they did in three last time. Jack was also not as clever as he was before, but he does still carry the movie completely by himself.
Kung Fu Panda 2 - I actually want to see this, because I enjoyed the first one. Entertaining, didn't ask very much of me to enjoy it.
The Hangover Part II - Fucking fuck why fuck fuck the first one was augh and but GAH FUCK
X-men: First Class - Mixed on this one. Probably won't pay movie ticket prices to see it.
Cars 2 - Kind of annoyed about this, because I loathe Mater, but Pixar tends to not put out utter shit, just stuff that isn't to my taste (and they rarely put out stuff I don't like, storywise. I always love the artwork and the cinematography in their films).
Transformers: Dark of the Moon - No. Just no. The first one was mediocre, the second one was trash, I have precisely zero hopes for the third one.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 - I didn't see the first one because this one is supposed to have the interesting part of the book in it. And the ending in the book annoyed me rather badly, so... eh.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Not especially interested, but not frothing at the mouth angry about this either.
Final Destination 5 - I loved the first one, enjoyed the second one, spat on the third one, and frothed at the mouth in anger at the fourth one. Not seeing this, not even illegally.
Fright Night (remake) - I know nothing about the original, so, eh.
Super 8 - Saw the trailer for this, wasn't impressed. It didn't do a good job of making me want to see the movie, particularly if, as the trailer suggested, the whole point was the big reveal of what the train had in it.
Green Lantern - Yes. Right now. Yes. Please. Yes.
Winnie the Pooh - I'm actually kind of curious about this, but mostly for the voice actors (I love Jim Cummings and he's done a stellar job replacing Phil Harris and Sterling Holloway). It may wind up being too kiddy to enjoy in a theater full of other people, though.
Captain America: The First Avenger - Yes. Oh my god. The costume design, the casting, the color schemes, YES.
Cowboys and Aliens - Anybody who looks at this movie and goes "oh now that's just STUPID," this movie was not made for you. This movie was made for people who watch Plan 9 From Outer Space to giggle at it.
The Smurfs - uuuuuuuuuuughhhh. Why do hanna barbera characters keep getting live-action/CGI movies made? Are they actually bringing in THAT much money?
Conan the Barbarian - Nope. Nope nope nope. There is only one Conan.

Definately worth a watch, especially if you were a fan of the previous 3. Just remember that its not as long as the others and thus, is quite rushed. The storyline isn't as seamlessly placed as the rest of the storylines. Other than that, Jack Sparrow and Ian McShane (as Blackbeard) are definately worth your money. I mean, they couldn't have chosen anyone better to play Blackbeard. Amazing. Oh, and dont forget to watch until the end of the credits. There is a special little 20 second clip of a 'surprise' ending that may carry over into a POTC 5. :)
