i currently have Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5730 1GB.
i suggest ati radeon 5000 series. idk about your budget though. it works really well. i can play any game smoothly, but i also have an i7 core. so lol

Do you have a price range?
ATI(AMD)/NVIDIA preference?
I'll just list some AMD options
Sapphire HD 5850 Extreme is a great deal right now (150 from amazon). The performance is comparable to the HD 6950 (~10% performance gain with 6950),
Sapphire 5830 is $110 @ Newegg (Comparable to GTX 460)
XFX has a HD 5770 for $75 after rebate (Newegg). It's at a pretty good price point right now

I don't know how tech savvy you are with computer hardware but also make sure you get one that is compatible with your MoBo.

If your computer isn't ancient, the slot(s) for your video card are PCIe x16 (which is standard)
1.0-->2.0->3.0 doesn't really matter as cards are backwards compatible

go here
http://www.videocard...h_end_gpus.html
Video cards are listed at best to worst, just plug em into the website of whichever place you are buying the card from one by one until you find one within your price range. I wouldnt go below geforce 8800 personally though, it can barely run world of warcraft on highest settings.
